Worth the $75 but no more
You get what you pay for at $75 which feels like a deal these days. Fairways, bunkers, and greens need some love, but it was fine and played just like any old public course. Nice neighborhood and views of the mtns. If I lived nearby I’d play it again.
Poor conditions
The course was in terrible condition. There is no Marshall to keep pace. When trying to pass slow players, they continually said we dont do that at this course, its the weekend. Fairways were mainly dirt, and the divots on the greens were horrible. There is no golf etiquette. There is no accountability for poor playing. They dont replace fairway divots either. The driving range hits directly onto the 10th fairway. Do not recommend.
Such a shame
Such a shame to see this course deteriorate over the years. Great bones but not even close to the great conditions of its past.
Tee boxes good, fairways patchy so play preferred lie in the fairways, around the green patchy so play preferred lies, bunkers a mixed bag with some pretty good and some rocky, green were ok.
Price is steep for the conditions.
Pace of play was great on a Friday afternoon for some reason. Maybe everyone afraid of playing on Friday the 13th?
Arrowhead CC on Saturday morning
I like the lay out and we have played here before. Pin placement was extra tough on some holes but green were mostly in good shape. The biggest problem was the the fairways, patches of grass and dirt. Not well maintained. Staff was great and the cart girl did a very good job keeping us hydrated.
Anthony-
Okay course but would not return
The fairways were very patchy and often felt more like playing out of the rough. Several sand bunkers had puddles of water, which took away from the overall playability. Hole 10 was particularly odd, as shots are hit toward the driving range, making it difficult to identify your ball. Overall, the course felt overpriced for its condition and did not appear to be well maintained.
Needs better fairways
Do not play it as it lies you’ll most likely be in a hole middle fairway. Fairways are in need of grass. Patches everywhere. Good greens, carts smooth, nice sand in bunkers. Beware of hole 10! The driving range hits to the middle of the fairway on hole 10. My cart was hit while I was getting ready to hit my shot. Overall the course has potential to be good but for now I will not be recommending it.
Non Existent Fairways
I’ve played here a few years ago and it was a great time, This holiday season I decided to take my brothers here and we quickly came to realize that this course has not been maintained. The fairways are just patchy grass and mud. For $66 a person, it was absolutely awful, not worth it. Will not be playing here again.
Good greens
Played after a few days of rain, the course held up pretty well. Bunkers were mostly unplayable but it was to be expected after the rain. Tee boxes and greens were pretty good but the fairways were pretty bad. They look good from a distance but they are very spotty and your ball is usually sitting on dirt between patches of grass. Pace on a Saturday was at just over 5 hours, not great.
Terrible Course!!
This course is booty cheeks! Terrible fairways, terrible greens, terrible value. You couldn’t pay me to play here. I will not be back.
Getting Better
Greens are really good, fairways could be a bit better but decent! In progress of getting clubhouse fully restored with restaurant.
Great conditions this past year . Manager effort always encouraged.Able to see improvements. Please help Shandon Hills if able?🏌🏽🏌️♂️🍁⛳️🇺🇸
Good pace of play in the AM
Tee’d off at 7am and pace of play throughout the whole round was good. Didn’t have to wait on group in front at all. Greens were a bit quick but they were nice. Front 9 is a bit challenging due to how narrow the whole are but other than that it was a great course and had a great time.
The person that takes the money in the clubhouse
Young kid probably just started there was kind of rude. I don’t know his name and not very accommodating at all. The older gentleman that works there is very nice and accommodating and again maybe I don’t know.
