Sierra Lakes Golf Club

The course is nice and in good condition for this time of year. Greens are nice. They hold and are fast enough to make for good putting. Overall condition of fairways and tees was good. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star overall is not allowing carts in their very large parking lot and pace of play was terrible with no Marshalling. I would play it again but never on a weekend

Front nine's pace was fine, the back nine was brutal! 3 groups on one tee box. The weather was great, a light breeze and not too hot for August! The greens were pretty nice...paired with a couple of nice folks.

The course is in great condition. Will come back soon and refer friends to come and play.

We were paired up with another twosome and had a great time. The course is wide open and very fair to all levels.of players. All of the course was in good shape. I’m playing the course again for sure.

Pros-

Debbie in the Pro shop was super sweet and helpful. Excellent service!

Cons-

The pace of play here is as horrible as ever. 5+ hours for a round today with no marshal insight for 18 holes. Had 3-4 groups backed up on a few holes. This was the problem the last time I played here 2 months ago and will be the primary reason to keep me from returning.

Costco right across the street that sells pizza and golf balls for a discount. Donuts and a muffin coat 9.50 lol. A Costco pizza costs 9.99.

For $60 a round on a weekday you should have a GPS in your golf cart. Tukwet, Oak Quarry, all have them, are nicer courses and charge less. If Sierra Lakes claims to be a top course in the IE they should provide this basic amenity.

No carts in the parking lot. This is crazy. Only course I’ve been to you can’t pick up your cart drive to your car get your clubs and shoes and head out. Huge parking lot to trek across with all your gear.

Overall I will not be back to play here unless it is super cheap. Sad because it is a decent course layout but not worth the value and the 5+hours of my time when I can play nicer places cheaper and faster.

Today was great for a Saturday. The pace was great course was great. Staff was friendly.

Fairways: Green and well maintained with minimal bare spots.

Tees: Mostly level and decent coverage.

Greens: Medium Fast, Great Shape. (FIX YOUR BALL MARKS)

Sand: Acceptable

Pace: Horrible for a Sunday afternoon. 5.75 hours.

Final Comments: To many players blasting music from their carts. It's golf people, not a party! I blame this on the course.

As usual, the course was in great shape. Would be even better if people would fix ball marks on the greens and fill divots on the tees and fairways.

Anyway, I like the course a lot. Our pace of play on a Sunday was horrible. 5 hours 45 minutes is totally unacceptable for a course with fairways this wide and of this caliper. They need a Marshall that keeps it moving and suggests the right tees for the groups ability. Not sure why all courses let a 25 handicap player tee it up from the blues. It slows down play and makes it discouraging for the player. Just my rant! Still, it's a great course.

Incredible course. Pace of play was incredible. The course was in amazing shape. Would 1000% go back and will be referring to friends!
