Tierra Rejada Golf Club
About
Nestled in the foothills of eastern Ventura County, Tierra Rejada Golf Club is known for its picturesque setting and stunning views. The club overlooks the Reagan Presidential Library. Tierra Rejada is unique in that it offers a formidable test for low handicappers from the championship tees but it is also accessible to mid and high handicappers thanks to the Players Course. The 5,600-yard Players Course is a "course within a course" that was designed to keep the game fun for golfers who may not be looking for a tough test. Even though it may be shorter, both golf courses still provide a challenge. There are plenty of ups and downs throughout thanks to the rolling hills and there are a variety of hazards coming into play including water and strategically placed bunkers.

Challenging course
As this was my first time playing this course, I think that the layout was challenging and interesting. The elevation changes kept me wondering how the course was constructed. I would definitely come back to play and hopefully play better with some course knowledge!
Good for friendly family round !
Layout is fun and challenge ! Fairway is little dry but, the greens are still in decent shape.
Tough course if you have never played before.
The course is tough if you have never played before. There are a lot of blind and uphill shots and if you hit your ball too far right or left you can say goodbye and reload! The greens were in excellent shape, but the fairways were a bit dry. The staff are friendly and the views and nice bit of wind made for a fun day.
Worth $29
Played after 3pm for $29, that being said I wouldn’t pay more than that to play it. The pace of play was good. My son and I finished in 3 hours 45 minutes and we played behind a foursome. I really like the layout and it has potential, but the fairways are bad. Yes as previous reviews have stated the fairways were punched, but they are also extremely dry. The gentleman in the pro shop said they have a new owner so hopefully the course will improve because it could be nice.
Fairways are horrible
They just started to punch the fairways and it was muddy and those punch turds stuck to your shoes and it falls off on the greens. The driving range is still down from about 4 months. Wait until November to play there. It should be nice by then..
Horrible shape
I've given this course many chances. People in pro shop are not friendly, but that's OK cause it's just a transaction. It's the course that's terrible. Fairways are in the worst shape of any course in L.A., including cheap public courses. Layout seems like it was created to fit into certain areas, not thoughtfully to create a fun, challenging course. Terrain is not well maintained and doesn't make sense. Seems like they are making the most money from finding and re-selling balls lost because the grass is not cut or layouts don't make sense. Keeping giving it a chance, but I think I'm done with it now.
Course condition
Super dry very slow grainy greens many shots from fairway from minimal grass dirt lies
Great views and super fun course
Had a great day at Tierra Rejada today. The course is well maintained, challenging holes and breathtaking views. I will definitely come back.
Bumpy Inconsistent Greens
A challenging track but some of the worst green conditions I've seen in a while. Tierra over waters the heck out of their greens and pretty much nothing else on the course. Playing hard and fast however the greens while holding were extremely bumpy so it was a putting crapshoot especially from less than 10 feet. Way too spongy and all of the cups were cut poorly or had some damage because it was so easy to nick them up due to the over watering.
Lots of elevation changes and very picturesque. Many of the greens have tiers keeping your interest. Clubhouse with range which was closed. No lockers/showers. Fun to play but the overall conditioning of the track really is lacking. Wouldn't mind having another crack at this one but it's a $40/$50 value at best given the current overall conditions. Reluctantly recommend certain there are better values and conditioning at other courses in the area.
Tierra Tejada
Temp around 100° but course is still very playable. Greens are in great shape.
Slow
No marshals and the two foursomes ahead of us were so slow we had to wait at least 10 minuets at every tee. We played at 10 and I would say the old slow folks are out early so expect a London round with no flow.
Tierra Rejada is not the same
The course has fallen under disrepair the last couple of years. The pristine greens and fairways are now gone. This course needs a full renovation for it to compete against the local public and private courses.
The Tierra Rejada Golfing Experience
Tierra Rejada is an outstanding golf course that will challenge your skills. The higher handicap golfer will struggle at times but allowances have been made to accommodate them by moving the white tees forward on the most difficult holes which reduces the difficulty thus raises the possibility of par or better. Once you’ve been there the challenge to elevate your golfing skills will bring you back!
It couldn’t be better!
Challenging courses and magnificent view over wide mountain made players neverending bored! The food was delicious and the staffs were kind. Definitely want to play once more!
This course has beautiful views
This course has it all. It’s beautiful, challenging with opportunities, and fun to play.
FUN
A Fun Golf Course I recomend it to all !!!!bring extra golf balls!!!
Ehhh
Overall ok. Tough to find great public courses in LA. Looked like the course hadn’t been mowed in weeks, looked sloppy. Greens really long, might as well have been putting on a fairway. If you’re a single don’t expect your own cart, they’ll try to put in with someone unless you want to pay even more.
