Course beat up; other courses better for money
The course is pretty beat up. It's not worth the money at all. I paid for the lower price on golf now, but if I had paid the normal $125, I would have felt incredibly ripped off. I wouldn't play here again. The staff though was very friendly and the club house/bar was very nice. Too bad the corse didn't match.
this course has gone from good to bad.
The driving range is in terrible shape the fairways are getting worse they look like they have not watered los of dirt with no grass the cart paths look like they have been through a 8.0 earth quake the carts are fair there is no cart service on the course ....they have really let this course go down.
Course needs attention
Been playing here for the last several months and it looks like the course is gradually getting in worse shape. From what other posts say it does also sound like they are going to close down for some renovations and perhaps this is why they let the course go. Probably won't be playing here until they update the course. For $85, go to rustic or tierra rejada.
Shadow course is closing down to build luxury homes there . They will remodel the club house and sky course to private country club.
Limited staffs and minimum maintenance was there. Staffs informed me they are closing down , remodel to become private country club. So if you want to see the mountain view and play for the last time, do it before they close down.
poorly maintained, going downhill
fairways have a lot of brown grass. needs water. lots of water.
looks like golf course is going out of business. very poor experience.
Bad service bad condition just BAD
Staff with poor customer service. Fairways complete dry. Even at 50% off not worth it. I would rather play at a muni than here.
Challenge from the back tees
Although the course isn't kept in pristine conditions, the layout offers the most challenging shots in the Los Angeles area when played from the tips. Strongly recommend this to any golfer looking for a stiff test.
A fun course and great views
I played from the white tee's and had difficulty. What a fun day and great views. The staff was great and I enjoyed my breakfast before my round. Some of the longest and most interesting holes I have played in LA
This course is great
This course has great features but need to invest more
lot a water and some course need to repair lot...
This course is done.
This course was originally 2 eighteen hole well maintained areas. Now with the impending home construction, the Shadow course is completely neglected and should be shut down but instead they keep selling discount tickets. The Sky course is ok but many areas are unkept and for $85 way, way overpriced - I was very disappointed. If its going to be run like this then the whole area might as well have track homes to fill up the space.
Course looks like it's about to close down
If you decide to play this course bring food and drinks. No cart girl. No drinking fountains. Nothing.
Please... for the amount of money that you will pay for a Tee time, go somewhere else.
I played this course (SKY COURSE) this afternoon, and I have to say, I was highly disappointed: the tee boxes need help; the fairways and "rough" were completely dried out; the bunkers were cement; the "snack shop" was a corner in the "pro shop"; the "pro shop" had nothing but "experienced balls" to purchase; I had to search for the starter; a small bucket of balls ($6) consisted of about 15 balls; I lost 3 balls in the "fairways"...IN THE FAIRWAYS!! (golfer holes??);... the list could go on forever (and apparently the Sky Course is the better of the two!). All for a discounted rate of $50!!
Please, try another course.
Finally, the Sky Course
What a difference this course is than the shadow. It was beautiful, challenging, well taken care of and the views were awesome. Had a great time playing with Dave and will definitely play this course again. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were great and very challenging.
Breathtaking views and a pleasure to play.
This is my second time playing this course, having my first experience last year. The greens have much improved and I found it a most enjoyable experience. The views are fantastic and it is a great test of golf. I can't wait to get a third bite at it.
Scenic track that offers strong challenge from longer tee boxes.
Fun and challenging course with beautiful scenery and a lot of variation in holes and terrain. On the dry side, and very hot conditions made the fairways a little difficult to hold. Maintenance was pretty average, but the adjoining Shadows course has been allowed to die out (with the exception of the greens) so this is the only course that should be played at this facility.
Nice course
This review is for the Sky course. DO NOT PLAY THE SHADOW COURSE!!! It is nothing but tee boxes and greens everything else is not taken care of at all. Sky course is a tough track that is pretty well maintained. Back 9 gets narrow. Overall this is a fun course, just stay away from the Shadow course.
SKY COURSE: Spectacular views, challenging but fun design. Excellent Bargain
SKY COURSE: Makes you stand and look at the spectacular views and challenging green placements. Fun and fair course. Bring your own balls as there are only repurposed balls for sale at the pro shop. Also it cost nearly as much to bring a rider $25, as for play $39 (current club house rates) even if you do not require an extra cart.
2 nice challenging courses
Decent pace, nice scenery, lots of challenging golf on these 2 courses. It can be a really great value if you get some of the hot deals on the site.
I was so impressed; FUN was the theme all day
Magnificent and a lot of fun;
Snack cart was a bit of a wait but that's because it was soooo hot.
Great staff, great views and what a deal!
The sky course is challenging and provides excellent scenic backgrounds for playing. Usually the more expensive and more maintained of the two courses.
Pro shop staff is great especially David. The restaurant staff is also great and the food is better than average for a golf course.
There are no homes on either course and I recommend playing at least one set of tees forward which you are accustomed to playing.
