Remington Golf Club

The tee boxes were pretty good, fairways thin but playable, greens way better than last year and bunkers were groomed but not a lot of sand. Pave of play was fine. All in all, a good value for the money!

It was better to be in the rough than in fairways. The fairways are hard with many areas of dirt patches. Rough provided some relief to get under the ball. Greens were mostly okay. My crappy game plus conditions made for a long day for me. Better players may of had an easier time.

The 1st tee was backed up about 20 minutes. We were a twosome with all foursomes ahead of us and a foursome behind. We had to wait for every shot and at every hole. When we made the turn and there were 2 foursomes waiting to tee off. Had a 15-20 minute wait to tee off on 10.

Check-in guy is a pro. He was cheerful helpful and fast. Cart guys were friendly, helpful and efficient managing the tight supply of carts. They could use some replacement carts. The course has some water damage left and short of the first hole but nothing noticeable after that. Grass is scarce around some of the greens like all the Florida courses in February. So expect tight lies and use the Texas wedge. Pace of play was slow behind a three some on the front nine and they eventually got through a fivesome for the back nine. We had the privilege of watching the fivesome leisurely play the back nine. Sometimes you have to go with the slow pace and enjoy the weather and make friends with the group behind you.

There were no restroom other then at the club house :(. NOT GOOD

Course layout is great little rough around the edges. But it was a really good time at challenging course.

Course was decent. Greens were fast - fairways and tee boxes were rough in places.

Remington is a decent course at a decent price. The tee boxes are never pretty and the fairways can have some nasty patches, but the greens are decent and tee times are typically easy to find.

Check in guy was excellent and informative about bad weather moving in tomorrow. Cart guy was entertaining and the cart was in good shape. The fairways are in decent shape for Florida winter golf. They are fast with tight lies. The greens are also hard and fast. The holes vary from short and sweet to long and challenging. We were paired with two nice guys who were casual infrequent golfers. We needed patience as they had great difficulty on the back nine… However the foursome behind us never pushed us. Vacation golf has surprises.
