We play this course annually. The staff and off course amenities are great and exactly what you expect at a resort course.

The greens are usually some of the best I’ve ever played, but this year they were considerably slower and had some Chinx in the armor. Still very good but just not what they have been in the past.

Tees and fairways would be described the same way. Good but not what they were.

It’s been a very dry summer for us and this could definitely be a reason. I would have no problem recommending this course as I know they are going to keep it great.

Very friendly staff. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived. The course was in great condition and the greens ran true. The national course is a good test of golf especially from the black tees which we played. There are plenty of hazards for the unwary in the form of bunkers trees and water. One of the nicest courses I've played. I would definitely recommend it.

Enjoyed the challenge that this course provides. Greens were still healing a bit since aeration but smooth enough. Tees and fairways in good shape as well. We will return again.

First time playing the course and I enjoyed it very much. Layout is very fair to the players if you choose the correct tee box to play from. It’s summer so I know that renovations take place so the greens weren’t a smooth true roll. My only complaint would be that it’s 102 degrees out and the water jugs were bone dry! I would think a club of such caliber good do a better job keeping the water jugs full. Maybe place an ice machine and water dispenser on the course. In all fairness they do provide you with 2 bottles of water when you start. That will last you until the 8th hole if your lucky! The bad part is that the National course doesn’t return to the clubhouse for the 10th hole. I was informed but the cart girl that you are 3 miles from the clubhouse at 10th hole. Thank you cart girl for being out there!! I will definitely be back to play the international course and give it a try. Pro shop personnel treated yes very nice and was an easy transaction as I was booked through GolfNow. Enjoyed my day on the National course with my son and would recommend the National course as a must play course.

Great course conditions tee to green. Even the bunkers were awesome with perfect sand which made sand shots easy to predict. Greens rolled true, not too slow or too fast. Will be back! Only drawback was the incredibly slow foursome ahead of us.

Fun track in good shape. Was closed whole month of June but the greens look like they had been verticut a week ago which was odd but they rolled well. If anything fairways were a little too thick so little to no roll there and caught some flyers in the short grass. Layout wise was a little gem-good mix of long, short left right up, down tight and wide open. Very little water or forced carries. Terrain Reminded me of Napa Valley more than a Marsh Course. If youre going to play this or the International its no brainer International but for $50-$60 a round I wouldnt mind coming back. Be warned they charged us $15 plus tax per round over listed rate so its a solid $20 more per player than whats advertised.

Had the opportunity the National which was in great shape. The pace of play was under 4 hours for our twosome. Very challenging layout, with small greens and bunkers everywhere. Did get caught in some afternoon weather with high winds that tested our abilities. But great time and Will Be Back!

Had a great time playing this course. Got out early and played quickly. Conditions were excellent and staff was great. Look forward to playing it again!

A friend and I have been wanting to play this course and I was able to get us a tee time on Monday, 4th of July. I figured the course would be packed and very slow but I was pleasantly surprised to not only see that they weren’t overly packed but the pace of play was incredible. We are already looking to come back and play the other course. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Course is perfect condition and challenging layout. I would recommend this to any that is staying Destin.

Greens - immaculate condition - had a few ball marks that some douchebags didn’t repair….but the greens are in immaculate condition - play around 11/medium speed. Roll true…not very undulating…pin positions good…

Fringe - around each green you typicall had a few feet of short first cut fringe…in some cases like 10 feet…you can Texas wedge putt your missed approach shot on…or put some nasty check spin on a ball with a wedge due to the right lie…makes scoring lower easier

Tee boxes - nice overall condition…nothing to complain about

- fairways - lush and beautiful - nice lie if your in the fairway

- coarse playability - this is a great Claire’s - layout is awesome - some easy holes….some tough. Tee shot positioning enables lower scores…so if you can accurately play lace tee shots in the fairway for strategic approaches…your golden.

Played from white tees - around 6000 yards - shot a 75 with multiple missed birdie putts. Reached one of the par 5s in 2 with driver and then 4I hybrid fade…other par 5s I couldn’t reach in 2.

Highly recommended!

If your looking for a course that doesn’t have a ton of water and you don’t want to lose balls…this is the best one around. It’s nice and fairly open.
