About
The National course is a classic American-style layout that rolls through 200 acres of southern woodlands and wetlands. Unique bunkering, tree-lined fairways and intriguing green designs define shot making challenges. In particular, golfers are apt to remember the National for its testing par 3 holes and for the double green shared by holes 4 & 16.

Carts
Bad customer service, no water on course when the heat infect was 105! Unless u wanted to pay for it! !! And tried to make us ride together when they took every other measures to keep safe from Covid-19. Cart girl was a completely clueless!
Thank you for your review! We apologize that there was no water on the course and that you did not like our shared rider policy. Regarding the water, we are not in that phase yet where we can put water coolers on the course due to possible spread/contamination. We do have bottled water in the clubhouse, on the beverage carts, and by customer request.
Regarding our shared rider policy, we handle each request for single cart usage on a case by case basis and do everything that we can to honor requests based on course/cart demands. Unfortunately, weekend mornings are more difficult to honor these requests than at other times.
We are following the stipulations of Executive Order 20-139 from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the enforcement agency of this Executive Order. The Golf Florida Alliance has received written clarification form Secretary Halesy Beshears allowing all sporting events in Florida to happen at capacity and this applies to golf courses ( including the use of golf carts), tennis courts, and outdoor events. This communication refers golf course operators to follow the golf industries Back 2 Golf guidelines version 4.0 that allows shared carts with the stipulation that proper facial coverings are worn by individuals who do not reside in the same household.
We have seen guest who have concerns with shared cart usage when we cannot make an exception either wear a proper facial covering, which we provide complimentary for those needing it, alternate holes using the cart, or walking the entirety of the round. We hope you are able to understand the logic behind this clarification of Executive Order 20-139. We would be happy to discuss this further at your convenience. Most day's we are able to honor single rider requests, however there are times when we are not able to, especially on Friday and Saturday mornings.

Steamy Sunday Golf!
Played the National Course for the first time. Wow what a great course! Greg Norman designed course is very playable and a ton of fun. Tee box, fairways and greens were great. The greens were just about the best I have seen in all of Central Florida! Nice mix of short and long holes. Played from the blues and it is all you want!
Staff was super friendly and she saw the beverage cart at least three times...that was great on a steamy day in Orlando.

Recent rain kept staff from cutting rough so they’ll clean that up! More reason to find the fairway

Great Conditions - even in the rain
Wife and I booked to play for our anniversary. She had never played at Champions Gate. We paired up with a single after a few holes. It got slow behind the golf academy playing lessons (what it looked like). The course and greens were in excellent condition. The staff was friendly at the proshop & bag drop area. We never saw anyone other than the beverage woman after checking in. We got caught for about 45 minutes during a thunderstorm but everyone made room at the rest area. The National is a fun and challenging course. Highly recommend playing there if you have an opportunity

The course is very good but today was rained and lightning and the is close I finished 10 holes and the golfpass member gave me only $13 credit back to account but I paid $33

Nice to be back.....
Haven't played here since last year. Always a nice course our only upset was the greens, there was still too much sand which made the balls fast. Otherwise, a great course and the staff are very professional and friendly.

Nice course
Course is in great shape. Some drivable Par 4s which is always fun. Greens looking nice. A touch fast but no complaints about the course
