ChampionsGate Golf Club - National

Outstanding conditions. Tees ,fairways and greens. Loved the course Played The National. My only minor criticism is the last few par 4 holes were very short- like they ran out of room.

This course never disappoints! Great staff! Great warm up facilities! And the course rewards you for good shots but can penalize you when you hit a bad one!

Love this course. Very nicely maintained. Gorgeous greens and fairways. Challenging but playable for most amateurs. Definitely some gettable holes, but also plenty to pressure your swing. Play it!

We are Canadian snowbirds who travel to Florida for the past 15 years. This was our first experience at The National & we loved the course and the service. We will be back to play this course. It is a gem.

Nice interesting holes. Holes 2-18 are set in a large “field - like” area where the holes criss cross each other.. the National course is not as challenging or busy as the resort’s international course. Twosomes allowed which is nice until things get backed up on the back nibe’s three par 3’s.

Pleasantly surprised at how the layout of the National course was set back away from everything. Quite serene, relaxing round of golf. Would definitely come back!

fairways&greens excellent tee boxes a little beat up but not too bad really enjoyed this course

Rhis was my first time playing CG. From the time you drive up you are treated like royalty. You just drive up. Leave keys in the car. Give name to valet. Done...that's it. After you pay for your round you walk out to the carts and your clubs and golf cart are ready. Go early to take advantage of their practice range. Pace of play was steady all day. No issues on what one staffer said was one of the busiest days of the year for them. Course was very wet. We golfed at 740 in the am and things were soaked. Other than that course was as perfect as it can get. No idea how they do this on such a busy course. Loved our rounds on this and the international bill be back.

It's a nice layout but it was a bit slow waiting on each hole especially on the back nine. Rangers were present on front but not the back so slowed down. High season rates should keep pace of play steady for the higher fees.

From the moment you pull up to the valet to the time you leave; the staff really take care of you, your needs, vehicle and equipment.

The practice green is in great shape and I feel it was a true representation of the greens.

Tee boxes were in great shape, the fairways were perfect and the greens were terrific.

I played The National. I'm a high handicap and managed to keep pace. The trouble was mostly avoidable but did find more bunkers than I usually do.

Highly recommended, a great experience.

The course was in fantastic shape! Some of the best greens I’ve played in Orlando! Friendly staff and an overall great experience!

Played it for the third time this season! course is improving as it gets warmer. Cart girl was beautiful and came by frequently. Friendly and informative starter !

This was my second time on this course. Great layout and the conditions were excellent.

Pace of play was a little slow as a single broke off from the group he went out with. Slowed everyone down.

Highly recommend this course, an really any of the CG courses. All are excellent

The course was laid out well and the greens and fairways were in excellent condition. I think the area has had significant rain recently as the traps were all quite wet (some were actually full of water). The big issue was there was obviously a tournament about 4 groups ahead of us with perhaps 10 foursomes in the tournament. The front 9 was horrendously slow. The front 9 took 2 hours and 45 minutes. At some tee boxes there were 3 groups waiting to tee off. The tournament finished at the 9th hole as the entire group was watching everyone finish. The marshalls came by a number of times on the front 9 but nothing changed. On the back 9 because the tournament had finished we never had to wait to make a shot and we played the back 9 in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

My foursome played at Orange county national, Crooked cat and Panther Lake, The Palm at Disney, Bella Colina and Grand Cypress, we had a great time playing all.. Our biggest let down was Championsgate. Too expensive, play was too slow. the course was in marginal shape and the clubhouse and grounds were full of litter. We were excited to finally get a chance to play this course after all we had heard over the years but it was nothing special at all. Championsgate will not be in our rotation next year.

We really liked this course and everything Champions Gate offers. From the time we arrived until the time we left, the staff was awesome.

The course was very playable with some challenging holes. The greens were soft and fast, just the way I like them.

My wife had a hole-in-one on #6, so of course that made the round even better. We will definitely play here again.

Nick at the pro shop was the only friendly staff member I talked to. The other staff members seemed very snooty. The golf course was beautiful, very challenging but pace of play was slow. Still had a great time golfing. I will be back.

There was no marshal to be seen during our round and we were always waiting to tee off and waiting on the fairways as well.The course conditions were terrible. There were areas on the fairway where the grass was sparse and there were weeds on the second cut of the putting greens. Very disappointed.

Disappointing course conditions. I was expecting better. There were lots of weeds everywhere and the traps were left ungroomed. It seems that this course has poor drainage which certainly affected play. The course appears to have potential but doesn’t live up to it and left us wondering why we didn’t find it a visually appealing place to place a round of golf (which took too long to play btw).
