Nice Course - Enjoyable

Was my first time here recommended by a buddy. Tee boxes were nice, greens were nice, fairways nice. Bunkers washed out from rain some flooded. Cart path pretty bumpy, was cart path only that day too... Course was pretty wet too but it did rain a lot the night before.

Lovely surprise

My wife and I were travelling through florida and Georgia on a golf vacation and would normally play Echelon before flying home. As Echelon were hosting the state junior championship we searched for an alternative

How lucky were we to find this gem of a course !

Very friendly welcome before golf and at the 19th hole, when we had some lovely freshly prepared food

This course has the BEST greens we played on during our trip

The layout was both interesting and challenging in part.

Thoroughly recommend to anyone

Great course, worth the drive

This is a great course, nice open fairways really let the driver loose. Greens were fast and well taken care of. Staff was friendly and they had cart service. We had a great pace, no one in front of us or behind us. I would play this course again, worth the drive.

A Beautiful, Fun, and challenging Course

As a public course, Ashton Hills deserves a 5-star. The course itself is very beautiful with a lot of pine trees and rolling hills. Some fairways are very tight with lush pine trees on both sides. There are plenty of elevation changes in the fairways and greens. Some holes have blind spots so shooting with a strategy on every shot will make you feel better at the end of the round. The elevated, fast greens are small with plenty of protection and undulations. Higher approach shots are recommended to avoid running off of the greens. The range grounds and balls need some improvements. It's both fun and challenging to play this scenic course.

Nice course. Fun layout and some challenging holes. Very nice greens. Play the appropriate tee box for your skill level and you should enjoy it. My only complaint about this course is the lack of yardage markers. I can't stress this enough, you'd better bring a GPS device or range finder or you're screwed. I guess I'm just old school and figuring distances is part of the game. The restaurant was closed but the snack shack was open which sufficed. Overall a nice course and a good day of golf other than the 98 degree heat.

Very Good Green Condition & A well managed golf course

It was our first time playing at Ashton Hills. Having played more than 80 different golf courses in GA, I would say that the putting Greens are in very good conditions at this time of the year and the fairways & sand bunkers drained well/ not soggy even though there was an overnight storm. Indeed this is a very well managed golf course and the staff at the Pro-Shop and starter/ marshall are all very friendly & respectful. Beside they also have a cute cart girl going around non-stop.

Better the 2nd time around

Won a tournament here about 5yrs ago. At the time I hated the course because of its hilliness and the mostly uneven lies you get stuck with. I said at that time I would never play this course again.. Being a little bit better golfer the 2nd time around, I came to appreciate its layout and the toughness itpresented. Though the conditions weren't prestine, the were a notch below thar and above a lot of courses I've played around Atlanta and I've just about played them all. The greens were excellent, firm and fast. Fairways and tee boxes were adequate. Now I can say I like this course even though I didn't win our tournament on this day...lol.
