Ashton Hills Golf Club

I lost a few balls in the high rough and leafs but thats to be expected this time of year. Fairways was decent and greens in good shape but fast. Enjoyed my game and very well worth it.

Almost every holiday me and my family get together and play golf. We decided to stay local and come play golf here at Ashton Hills. We were enjoying our time until one of the staff members came up to us and told us to hurry the pace of play. Now this would make sense if we’re moving slow or in the way of another party but this was something that wasn’t needed. Nobody was behind us and we were playing at speedy pace regardless. The staff member even sent us a message saying to hurry up. This caused a distraction and made us rush our play. As we continued to play we kept looking back to make sure we weren’t too slow and lo and behold nobody was behind us. This staff member didn’t give us a good experience here at this golf course and left a bad taste in our mouth and we’re not sure if we want to return and play golf in the Newton County area.

The course was in good shape, the greens were fast. Some bunkers were short on sand. Definitely would play the course again

It was cart path only after overnight despite signs saying it was 90 degree

The course winds through some housing and it a little choppy but each hole stands on its own and did not bother me

There are two world class par 3 holes

16th and 6th.. Also love 17th ..Some big drop offs on several greens

Not many weak holes on the course..

This is a nice course. Don’t try to walk. Crazy distances between holes. Bunkers kinda wonky and hard. But greens are great. Layout is fun, not super memorable, but enjoyable.

This course was top notch. Great fairways and greens!

Always enjoy this course. greens are in good shape. nice practice area. love the gps in the cars . But don't go off Couse to much cart will stop . Did not happen this time but has in the past. the sand traps are a little hard sometimes. love playing this course during the week have not tried weekend play. and nice area for lunch next to the pros shop.

Really nice layout & design very challenging & greens are immaculate the only complaint can be pace of play had a slow group holding the course up but definitely a must play ntm very reasonable green feed

Always a great course. Some of the fairways are a little bouncy.

This is was a gem of a find during our vacation to Lake Oconee. Great layout, good condition for the Fall season and outstanding greens all for a nominal and outstanding greens fee!

You will not be disappointed. Great variety of holes and challenging enough for any skill level.

I wish this course was in my backyard!

Staff in the Pro Shop, Cart Barn and Kitchen were outstanding!

The course was in great shape, especially for this time of the year. Heads up, though. The greens are lightning fast. Combine that with the multilevel greens and tough pin placements and it’s a recipe for 3 (or 4) putts. Nice layout. Some holes the rough needs a little work, but I guess that means keep it in the fairway 🙂

… great layout, very taff … only the pace of play was „bad“ because a tournament in front , again at next vacation 🙋‍♂️⛳️

Ashton Hills golf course is just fantastic.

The grounds crew has the course in superb condition.

The holes are visually pleasing, challenging, yet scorable and fun to play. It is a tough, but very fair course.

The clubhouse is decent, as is the range. This place spends their funds on keeping the course in really nice shape.

The greens, recently aerated, rolled fast and true; no bouncing.

The 2 bunkers I played from were pristine.

The fairways were exceptional, and provided lots of roll from tee shots.

The tee boxes were mostly in good shape from the black and blue tees.

The starter, Quentin, provided me, a first-time player here, with a thorough orientation to the course, and even came around and found me on the back 9 to check on my experience on the course.

I traveled about 90 minutes to play here, and glad I did. I wish I lived closer, to play more frequently.

I don’t believe there’s another metro course that offers more for the money. Fast, pure, well manicured greens, good tee boxes, great mix of birdie opportunities and other holes that require accurate tee shots to make par. Very friendly desk manager who came out to advise me the others in my group were not making it and I could tee off 15 minutes earlier. Great course to keep in your rotation.
