Ashton Hills Golf Club

Challenging course very Healy now and then Golfer will enjoy. Has the potential to lose a lot of balls, but still fun to play.

Greens are super fast and firm

Conditions are very dry

Cold and windy day was not ideal

They had some delays with tournament but the pro shop did well to keep it moving on first tee..

It is a solid layout

6th is a brutal par 3 from the back

Once the fairways grow in a little more it will be as nice or better then any at Reynolds Plantation. The greens are very good and fast but fair. Layout is very challenging but fair. Make sure you choose the correct tee box as your approach shots to undulating greens is the key to scoring well.

We had 2 groups in front of our 4some and they were a 4 and 3...with 2 to 3 holes opened in front while we waited 3 to 5 min on every hole...130 to 6....we typically play 18 in 3 1/2 hours...

I will say that, thlis is the first time it's been this way since I've been playing there. 5 years

We had a great time at Ashton Hills. The weather, greens, beers great!! The pace of play slow on the first 9 holes. No starter or marshall seen on the course. Grounds crew does a great job on keeping course nice. Greens rolled true, but people please fix your divots +2!

For Winter North GA Holf was pleasantly surprised on how good the greens were. Shots held and spun back good speed and roll. Nice dye color too.

very typical conditions for this time of year, appeared to be in as good as shape as it could be. Greens were smooth and running quick. Will be back in during peak season to see how it plays in the best conditions. Enjoyed the layout

Living in Covington, we are lucky to be close and it is always mine and my wife's go to course.

Always want to let someone know after the round, how much I enjoyed playing there.

I lost a few balls in the high rough and leafs but thats to be expected this time of year. Fairways was decent and greens in good shape but fast. Enjoyed my game and very well worth it.

Almost every holiday me and my family get together and play golf. We decided to stay local and come play golf here at Ashton Hills. We were enjoying our time until one of the staff members came up to us and told us to hurry the pace of play. Now this would make sense if we’re moving slow or in the way of another party but this was something that wasn’t needed. Nobody was behind us and we were playing at speedy pace regardless. The staff member even sent us a message saying to hurry up. This caused a distraction and made us rush our play. As we continued to play we kept looking back to make sure we weren’t too slow and lo and behold nobody was behind us. This staff member didn’t give us a good experience here at this golf course and left a bad taste in our mouth and we’re not sure if we want to return and play golf in the Newton County area.
