Ashton Hills Golf Club

As the title states, it was winter golf course conditions and the grounds crew had a lot of maintenance going on. Cart paths were torn up every other hole due to work which wasn’t a huge deal. The course if fairly tough for an average to below average golfer like myself and I do not recommend this course for someone who shoots in the upper 90s or higher. The fairways were not forgiving. Greens were in decent shape with a fairly fast pace. The day I went we had zero issues with pace of play. Grounds crew seemed to follow us from hole to hole and seemed more keen on watching us than doing work which made us feel uneasy and was kinda annoying. Range and practice green were as expected. Tee boxes were also as expected with no real issues. I probably would not golf here again until after all course construction has been completed.

The greens are fast. Some of the fairway was hard due to the cold weather. Over it was a fun course.

Course is a nice course. If ya get rid of the guy behind the pro shop register then you would probably do a lot better. Guy is a douche.

Course was in good shape for being winter. All staff were super friendly. A few areas were washed out from heavy rains so some work needs to be done there but really doesn't come into play if you are in the fairway. Bunkers were the best bunkers I have seen in years. At least the bunkers I was in. Soft, fluffy sand made it easy to get out.

Today the course was not in the best condition. Recent rains had many of the bunkers half full of water, and the fairways somewhat washed out. I am blaming the weather, because I have played the course several times, and the usually keep it in good condition. The greens were still in good shape, which made the other issues not so bad. I would definitely play the course again, when the course dries out.

Did not have high expectations coming to play in the winter. Course was in good shape in spite of heavy rains earlier in the week. Cart path only restrictions lengthened our round, but we fully understood. Overall, we had a great time. Tough course. Lots of challenges. Did I mention tough course. LOL

Had a great game round here after it was recommended to me. Played with 2 great guys and the course is a real challenge. Greens are great but tough. Only problem was the 4 guys in front were slow and took 4 1/2 hours

Best greens that we've played all year. The only drawback to the course (and keeping it from a 5-star rating) was losing balls just off the fairway in the first cut of rough. If the rough had been cut 1" shorter, you could have found your ball much easier, and the pace of play would have been much faster.

The course was in great shape. Played after all might rain and standing water. Green were fast. Pace of play was a little slow, yet we still finished just over 4 hours.

I've played here a few times and I'm always impressed with how well the course is maintained, how challenging it is, and how cheap it is for such a nice course. The greens are very well-kept, have a lot of break and are FAST! This is a course that you need to know to play well. Take notes, both off the tee and on the greens. Understanding where to place your tee and approach shots is key here.

Rained that week in Atlanta but course looked to have drained well. Light standing water in small portions of bunker but you can still hit out of the other area. Greens were in great condition and rolling fairly fast. Look forward to playing again.

Played mid week in December for first time.

Excellent layout.. Greens were fast and bunkering is outstanding.. No issues with leaves and fun tunnels link the course. They are doing work on range and 18th hole..

Plenty of creeks to carry over and need to have strategy.. Perhaps back edge of green on 1 was a bit extreme. Friendly staff
