Valuable Course
The green and fairway condition are so good despite of winter season. And green fee is nice considering rate of total playing condition.
GREENS WERE TERRIBLE
THE GREENS AND FAIRWAYS WERE UNCUT. EVEN THOUGH THE GREENS WERE AIR-RATED THEY HAD NOT BEEN CUT FOR OVER A WEEK AND WERE TERRIBLE TO PUT ON. EVERY PUTT BOUNCED AND WAS EXCEPTIONALLY SLOW. THE FAIRWAYS WERE LONG AND THE ROUGH WAS UNCUT. WOULD NOT PLAY THERE IN THE FALL IF THAT IS THE WAY THE COURSE IS MAINTAINTED. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY MONEY

This time of year with leaves falling and greens irrigation
made putting extremely challenging.
Awesome Course
Great layout, this course is tough but fair. No gimmicks on this course. Almost feels like you’re playing up north. Only negative was the pace of play was a little slow because the group in front of us was slow. I would definitely play this course again.
Sigh.
Sandy greens and clumpy fairways with grass cuttings we’re a downer when playing this course.
Long drive but worth it
Challenging terrains, wavy narrow greens and could be very tough depending on pin placement. Cool sea walls on number 17 and 18. I was fortunate enough to hook up with another local players with good course knowledge. He showed me the very cool short game practice area after the round. Will be sure to get here early next round and try it out!
More Wooded Than I Thought
I'd been to Lakes of Taylor a bunch of times for meetings and it's a nice place close to the airport to meet people who come in and out of town. Great view and easy food and beverage from their bar and grille.
I had no clue other than 1, 9, 10 and 18 that it was so wooded and semi tight. The fairways were wide enough but if you know me, you know I like to spray that driver sometimes. Even when I went to 4-5 iron off the tee after not trusting the Driver it still found the woods when I didn't think the shot was that far off line. Big time blind tee shots on 4, 6, 7, 8 where you need to play it once to figure out the line. Liked the par 3 on the front 9, the 2nd one no. 5 was a cool tee shot. 3 was cool that it was far, 208 from blue I think but plenty of room right and left but multi level green punished bad chips.
Greens were in great shape for what I had to believe was 220 plus golfers on the perfect Thursday when we played at 5:40pm. Finished just in time for a nice sunset on 8 as we played in.
I want another shot at this place to see if I can play smarter on those blind tee shots, that's a good course even though it beat you up that you want to go back.
Bunkers needed a bit more sand in some areas, I had some rocks I needed to move around and 2 of the 3 times I was in the sand it was hard as rock. Tough to hit out of that.
Best public course south of Detroit
Well kept course with a creative and challenging layout.
Phenomenal Muni Course!
Definitely lived up to its reputation!
