Just great
Course is somewhat challenging. We played from white tees and it is like 6400 yards. It is uneven landscape and many approach shots were on uneven lies. For October the course is in excellent shape. Greens are perfect and very consistent which is great for me (putting is the best part of my game). I am 61 and 11 handicap. Playing for the first time on this course and shoot 86 which I considered OK. Fairly open course. I think the hole 17 par 3 (175 yards) is very nice. Stuff is very friendly. Somewhat slow pace. We finished in 5 hours. The day was perfect so no complaining here. Will certainly play again.
Expected more
Really looking forward to playing here... Really like the course.. very disappointed.. bunkers needed attention, most looked untouched for awhile. Ranger was useless.. two groups ahead of us were two holes behind.. agonizing round...
Slow play and god forbid it rains days before you play
Nice course and layout. Slow play so be prepared. Also, if there is a drop of rain within a few days of your tee time expect it to be cart path only. Not sure if they think they are an elite golf course or condition is so good that they can’t have a tire track or two but it is absolutely awful the way they enforce cart path only. Played 3 days, yes, 3 days after some rain and it was cart path only. Outside of a couple of spots it would’ve been perfectly fine to have 90 degree rule. Pretty poor course management there.
Challenging but Fair and a Great Value for the Money
This course ranks with the best courses in the area when it comes to condition, layout and the money. I've played Washtenaw, Eagle Crest, Stone Bridge, U of M, Lake Forest and two or three others in the area and this is probably the best value for the money. They have a great Senior rate during the week. Sometimes the pace of play can be a little slow which surprises me because they have GPS on the carts so they should be able to see quickly if someone is not keeping up. The tees are set up so golfers of various skill levels can make the course go from very challenging to just moderating challenging depending on what the golfers desire.
Terrible experience
They really pack them in. 8 minute gap between tee times. They do not push the pace whatsoever. Rangers were nonexistent until they came out to kick us off the course. Course conditions felt like late fall in early August. Greens and tee boxes were in terrible condition. Fairways played almost like the first cut of rough at some nicer facilities. Bunkers were terrible. Just an overall bad experience.
Great experience
Course was in great shape. Nice, quick greens & 17&18 are beautiful holes!
Course is in great condition
Pace of play was below 4 hours. Course in really good condition, greens hold and roll true. Will be my go to course in the area.
