Great Course
Fun course. They are making improvements every time I play
Will be back!!
My new favorite course in Austin
This course is challenging and is in fine shape. I had a 9am tee time and had been hit with nearly SEVEN INCHES OF RAIN the night before.
The course is aptly named, "Riverside". And there was a lot of water running/standing in places which are usually dry. Cart path only was an understatement.
The course dried out quickly (less than two hours). The greens were in great shape.
Every member of the staff I met was a joy.
This Austin Muni is my new favorite.
great value for the price! staff goes out of their way to help, can’t wait to play again
Solid course
Nothing special about Riverside, but it’s a terrific, basic course. Doesn’t play too tough. The old ACC is a great bang for your buck round. Would definitely return again.
Course Keeps Getting Better and Better
This course continues to get better every time we play it! This old historic course is well on its way to becoming a great Austin course and extremely fun course to play. We are excited how great the greens are coming in and look forward to a great Spring and Summer season. Excellent management sure has paid off as playing conditions are great and will continue to exceed expectations! Thanks ACC for returning this course to its historic conditions by hiring a great GM, Staff, and grounds super.
Golf honeymoon
Had the pleasure of playing this Trac on my honeymoon. Love the natural landscape and elevation changes. Was the first one off the tee, finished in less than three hours.
Great course in Austin
This is a nice all around course that offers up an opportunity to various types of shots as the course changes from a woodlands style to more of a parkland layout. The greens are smaller and have lots of subtle breaks that were truly fun to play. The fairways were generous and in good shape. I would definitely play this course again.
Great Place
Great place to okay and was surprised it was so close to downtown. Beautiful views with well established trees. Close to downtown but sill quiet enough to have a conversation with friends and enjoy the scenery.
Good bang for your buck in austin
Course was in decent condition, greens were not. It’s hit or miss on green conditions. Staff are great bathrooms and water coolers on the course. Pace of play is good. Course is pretty wide open not a lot of hazards and shorter than most in Austin.
Good course
It’s a good course, better maintained now. Sometimes overbooked
Like the course, just not that day.
The amount of people playing that day was crazy. Saw at least 2 5somes playing as I drove up. Took 3 hours to play 9 holes. Waited so long we stopped after 10. Like the convenience and location of Riverside. The staff is super friendly and chill. The course itself is what you’d expect for Austin in February. Not the best.
RiversideGC Austin’s hidden gem
I really like this course. It’s.well maintained and a great layout. The staff if always friendly and helpful. The food is pretty darn good, not what you’d expect at a good course. I’ll be a long time player here.
Horrible conditions
After the rain we had in Austin,, the course should have been closed. It was like playing in a swamp. Several lakes in the middle of the fairways, the bunkers were lakes and the overall experience
sucked. And the fact they charged regular prices was a joke. I will never play here again and would not recommend it.
Best Kept Secret in Austin
This historic course is the best kept secret in Austin, Texas! Every time we play the course, it is in better condition then the time before. The staff is amazing and the grounds keeper is one of the best in Austin.
Great Historical Course on the Rise!!
This historical course is quickly becoming the best value in the Austin market. Austin Community College owns the course and has provided the funds and backing to substantially improve this great layout to former fame. The Head Golf Professional along with an excellent staff has quickly improved playing conditions and this course is truly a course that is in better condition every time we play it. We love the layout and it has a great selection of challenging holes. We highly recommend this must play course!!
Good Austin golf value
Overall a good golf value. The layout is a little odd because the clubhouse is not between the 9th and 10th greens. So if you expect to get a drink or snack at the turn that may not happen. Also the course starts with a par three followed by a short par four, so pace early can be a little slow.
None of that is fatal though. This track was once the Austin Country Club and many of the holes have a classic 1950s feel to them. The front nine is a little shorter, and requires good pitches and chips. The back nine has some great long pars fours and fives, so bring your driver.
It's well-cared for and often quite scenic. No practice range, but a very nice practice green. Friendly staff.
