Bent Creek Golf Course

Carts on path. Good layout. Yardage not well marked. Greens are small and not in great shape. Fairways are nice. Beautiful views

Good value for the price we got it in golf now. Was expecting it to be in a little better shape greens were in okay shape still rolled good. Front nine is a very good layout back nine is more target golf and can be tricky if you have never played before.

Great staff and course was in good condition, especially since they just had a bunch of rain. Front fairly open but challenging, the back very tight and hilly. A couple of the greens were showing some grass which should be there but overall they held well and putted true. Pace a bit slow but did enjoy the round. Beware of gnats - a repellent is almost a datory

Gnats were beyond horrible! Overall condition of the course was awful. Only good things to say would be the staff was very friendly and we got it on Golf Now for $17. Definitely won't return.

What a great course set in the Smoky Mountains. Front 9 was relative flat with some challenging shots. Back 9 gets you with the mountainous terrain. Beautiful course in great shape. Booked on GolfNow and got a Hot Deal for $17. Well worth the money and drive. Thank you for the great experience and friendly staff. The course layout and scenery were beautiful. We had excellent rate of play. There were some rough spots due to the weather. Lots of bugs and gnats. The price was great and well worth it booking through Golf Now, but not sure I’d pay the regular course fees.

Water everywhere. You have be an accurate golfer. Lost a few balls. Still a good round of golf.

Had fun and that was the reason to play...

What if there was not a gnat problem? What if there was not golfers in tee shirts and swim trunks? What if there was actual golf etiquette observed such as quiet while teeing off or not playing from another fairway? What if the clubhouse actually sold real food? What if the cart path was driveable for more than 100 yards?

The front nine was okay. Course was playable but good lord the gnats are atrocious. Off spray is actually bbq sauce to them. Back nine better than front especially since you go gmat free on almost all but the 17th and 18th holes.

Do not post appropriate attire signs then allow people in tee shirts and swim trunks on the course. We actually also had a golfer come up the second hole hitting towards the tee boxes. It’s insanity We paid roughly 100.00 for a foursome. Sadly I should have just paid double that and gone to Sevierville Golf Club.

Bent Creek has potential. Just a shame they don’t see it. Shining star was the staff but sadly just not enough. I’ve managed at two clubs in Virginia and this one shows signs of being in death throes.

I really like the course layout differences between the front and back. Lots of water throughout the entire course which brings me to my review title. I believe the staff mentioned that May-September, the bugs(big gnats) are out with a vengeance. Non stop buzzing around the head, in the ears, nose and eyes, from tee to green. Very annoying but the course, layout and the staff was very nice!!!!

Good course for the money. As usual and at this time of year, take some bug spray.

Beautiful course set in the mountains. Difficult but very fun. Front 9 is relatively flat and open, back 9 is IN the mountains... dog legs, narrow fairways, and downhill par 3's galore.

Hidden gem of a course. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The course conditions were great, even with rain the night before. Front 9 greens a little slow but true. The back 9 greens were great. Fairways were great, rough a bit punishing as it should be. Playing here brought back memories of playing here with my dad years ago, and I will say the course condition is the best I have ever seen it !!

Cant wait to play here again.

We played this course this past weekend and had a great time. The greens were in fantastic shape and the layout is what sets it apart. The course isn't very long but there are some unique holes that you don't see very often and that's what makes it great. There are a few tee boxes on the back nine that could use some attention but nothing that really takes away from the round. Touching up those tee boxes and bringing back some of the bunkers that are now overgrown would move this to a 5 star rating for me.

2 Things I recommend to anyone playing here:

1) Bug spray. We read reviews before the round about the bugs being bad and it saved us big time. If you don't use bug spray, you may not have a good time.

2) Pay attention to the hole description for each hole on the scorecard. There are creeks and bunkers that you won't be able to see from most of the tee boxes.

P.S. There is a practice putting green but no driving range. I don't count it as a knock on the course though because it's in the middle of the mountains and they have to make due with what land they have.

2 things I'll recommend to people coming to play this course:

I got a great deal on Golf Now for a late morning tee off on a Tuesday. It had rained a lot the previous few days but the course was in great shape. It was challenging, with all the water, but a fun course. My only complaint was, my wife came along j just to ride in the cart with me, since we were on vacation together. But they were going to charge her $21.95 just for a "rider fee" (which was more than I paid for playing 18 holes with the cart). She went shopping instead (which ended up costing me more than the rider fee!), and I played by myself. Other than that, I was very happy with my experience.

To start off with the staff was super friendly and seemed to appreciate us playing. This is a well thought out course with challenging holes absolutely love the back nine highly recommended and will be going back myself!!

I like the course layout; challenging for all levels. The only drawback are the gnats; with the proper amount of bug spray they are controllable.

Tied my career low score here yesterday! Have fun on the back and be sure to read scorecard to double check aim point and distance. Amazing course
