Cypress Ridge Golf Course
About
Cypress Ridge Golf Club stretches along the Central Coast, taking its name from the abundant cypress trees that are scattered throughout the course. The scenic and hilly terrain is the star of this layout, it provides challenging ups-and-downs but also stunning views. The smooth, fast greens are often elevated, as are many of the tees. The strategic placement of the bunkers was determined by the natural contours of the landscape. Though the golf course has many challenges to offer, playability is also a key feature. Golfers of all skill levels can approach Cypress Ridge Golf Club with confidence. Water does not have a prominent presence but it does come into play on the finishing par-5 hole. The golf course is a local favorite for both the enjoyable round itself and the friendly staff.

Cypress Ridge
Rode the Blues (6443/71.3/128) mid morning in 4H, 45M with the SLO Co. GG. $59 to ride. Overcast and fairly calm around 70 made for very pleasant golfing weather. Scott, Gerald and Terry very nice group to play with.
Tees had good coverage and were well maintained for divots.
Fairways usually good to play from with occasional brown patches. Undulating with lots of unrepaired divots in collection areas.
Rough close to the fairways was mowed down and maintained in the 2-3" range. Usually good to play out of. Rough farther from the fairways was 1-2' tall straw like that was a probable lost ball.
Sand is more fine dirt than sand. Thinner than I would like to see and several traps had sprinkler runoff places in them.
Large greens were recently sanded and putted medium speed. Sand only affected putting early when they were still wet, but they were slower than usual.
Customer Service excellent as usual. Quick, efficient check-in. Busy grill @ the turn. Well stocked pro shop, Busy driving range and they have a putting and chipping practice area. Carts are basic, no GPS. One of the better layouts on the Central Coast, fun course to play in good condition. Recommended.
Excellent value for the price
Always love playing here. Great course for the price, one of the best in the area.
Don't waste your time or money
In all the 25 years of playing Golf I have never seen a golf course so overbooked (3 hrs. to play 9 holes).
We were 5 groups deep on same tee box ,this is unacceptable unless you like spending 6 to 7 hrs.
to play 18 holes. This is just like the airlines when they overbook just to fill seats. We quit after 9 because we still have a life to live not waiting to die on a golf course. The staff could care less and are only interested in taking your money.
Don't waste your time and run from this place
Great condition
The course is in great condition!!! A little wet in some areas , but those areas were delineated as ground under repair. The staff are very friendly. Cypress is a must play !!
Beautiful golf course
This course was stunning. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens, were in excellent shape. If you’re looking for a beautiful golf course, that won’t hurt your wallet… then look no further than Cypress Ridge. It looks, and plays
as good as the really expensive courses, and better than
the courses, in that same price range !! I highly recommend this course to any golfer, be they scratch, to
first timers, and anyone in between. This course is for EVERYONE, and the price is right !!
Cypress Ridge
Walked the Blues (6443/71.3/128) mid morning in 4H, 45M with the SLO Co. GG. Overcast and fairly calm in the mid 70's.

Rough close to the fairways was mowed down and maintained in the 2-3" range. Usually good to play out of. Rough farther from the fairways was 1-2' tall straw like that was a probable lost ball.
Sand is more fine dirt than sand. Had not been maintained today and many traps had sprinkler runoff places in them.
Large greens were firm and putted medium fast speed. I like the greens here, the ball rolled very well.
Customer Service gets it own section based on an experience here today. I wanted to make my putter heavier, so I inquired if they had an weights that would fit my Odyssey in the pro shop. Didn't expect them to have them on hand, but thought I would ask, and they did not. HUGE shout out to Johnny Buckl. He said he had an Odyssey he rarely used and would be happy to trade weights if his were heavier than mine. He goes in the back, grabs his putter, took the weights out and offered them to me. Turns out we both had standard weights, but the gesture was MUCH appreciated.
Well stocked pro shop. Friendly starter, no on course services. Busy driving range and they have a putting and chipping practice area. Carts are basic, no GPS. One of the better layouts on the Central Coast, fun course to play in good condition. Recommended.
Course is great
The course is great but the caller for the 1st hole can’t be heard from the first hole. Either put someone up at the 1st tee or put out a stereo that can be heard from the 1st tee. The guys in the shop do a great job calling it out but people get confused once they get to the 1st tee
Excellent Course
This is currently my favortire course in the area. I am a D-C player that can even birdie a hole or two. I can get an eight as well. Last two times I was there everyone on the course mentioned what a great day it was to be playing golf!
