Cypress Ridge Golf Course
About
Cypress Ridge Golf Club stretches along the Central Coast, taking its name from the abundant cypress trees that are scattered throughout the course. The scenic and hilly terrain is the star of this layout, it provides challenging ups-and-downs but also stunning views. The smooth, fast greens are often elevated, as are many of the tees. The strategic placement of the bunkers was determined by the natural contours of the landscape. Though the golf course has many challenges to offer, playability is also a key feature. Golfers of all skill levels can approach Cypress Ridge Golf Club with confidence. Water does not have a prominent presence but it does come into play on the finishing par-5 hole. The golf course is a local favorite for both the enjoyable round itself and the friendly staff.

Cypress Ridge, for winter golf in Ca, is in great condition. The greens are fast and true.
I plan on playing Cypress Ridge once more before we leave Ca. The tee box combo selection [127 slope] is a great way to play this course for a 15/16 hdcp player. For the up hill shots, use 2 clubs down instead of 1.
Course was challenging with fast greens.
The course was being air rated but no one told us. Would have been nice to know. Beautiful location and great day of golf.
Great mixture of fair layout with some challenging holes.
This course has some fairly easy holes if you play from the white tees or even combo tees, but the greens demand a good approach shot or a three putt is almost always a certainty. The back tees really make Cypress a good test of a player's skills. This course always seems to be in good condition an I highly recommend it.
Excellent Course
Cypress Ridge is one of many great golf courses in our area. My wife and I do not play this course on a regular basis because the cost of green fees. We played last Saturday because of the discount rate we found on line through GolfNow.
The weather was perfect. 75 and no wind. Cypress Ridge provides enough tee block options that make the course enjoyable for both of us to play. The course is well layed out. The landing arera's on most of the fairways are wide enough so you do not stand on the tee block worried about OB or hitting homes that line some of the fairways. The greens are very fast and well kept. Just the way we like them. The course has many sand traps. Many are large and deep. This can be a issue physically getting into or out of for some older players. Do not recommend walking this course due to some of the distances between holes. Did not see anyone walking the couse on the day we played. Cypress Ridge is a must play !!
Course can be very challenging
Overall layout very nice, greens are in excellent condition, not very walk friendly for elderly can and does create slow play. Some holes can be a 5 minute hike from T to T.
Bunkers have always been it's downfall, imported beach sand can be unfair if you plug your ball.
This course has a wide variety of holes, differing in lengths, shapes of the greens, etc. and poses a challenge to all levels of players.
Fun course to play and when the wind blows, very challenging, especially from the back tees. Wide variety of holes. Course knowledge is extremely advantageous and is one of the reasons why my son and I are looking forward to playing it again in the future. Course staff was extremely friendly.
grear value for the buck.
Had a great time out. Was nice to play with some of the regulars, Really helped since carts do not come with GPS. Would definitely play here again on my next trip down to the central coast.
Top 3 courses in SLO county
I have been playing Cypress Ridge for over `10 years. It's always a challenge, with great variation from hole to hole. A must play.
Great value with GolfNow
This course was in excellent condition although it was a little soggy due to heavy rain a couple days prior. I like this course a lot. Quick greens. I played the 18 out of sequence due to a tourney in progress but I was able to finish in under 3 hours. Friendly people.
Great facility
Great facility, excellent challenging course, very well maintained. Clubhouse not so great, staff not very friendly and bar facility inadequate. Golf course alone is enough , but with marked improvement to staff, and clubhouse, this resort would be off the charts.
Fun Golf
Has interesting holes from which ever tee distance you play. Really fun on a calm day, can be very challenging when the wind picks up.
We made a t time on Internet great deal pay to much for 3rd person
Great course. Nice views of nature trees good all around.
Excellent course with beautiful fairways and greens.
The course was in excellent shape and one I will definitely play again. The pace of play was perfect with light play on the course. I will recommend it to my friends. Outstanding value for the price.
Very Nice
Very good golf course. Very good condition, staff was pleasant. Unfortunately, it was about a 5 1/2 hour round.
The GolfNow price that i booked was about 1/2 the published rate so overall, i was very pleased.
great course a little pricey
great staff, charts, course layout. sand traps are really good. price is a little high. overall very good. sometimes pace of play is slow, golfers are the problem not the course
great costal course.
The holes are very well designed to match the terrain. It's about 3 miles inland from the ocean, so gets some wind. You can hear the ATVs from the dunes if you listen hard (not a distraction).
I found club selection a bit difficult to gauge between all the up/down hill shots, the cooler temprature (vs home), and the winds (mostly above the trees). They also have a golf academy here that has a good repuation (didn't make use of that).
