Deer Creek RV Golf & Country Club
About
Located just 20 minutes from the Disney theme Parks. Deer Creek RV Golf & Country Club has a convenient location at the intersection of I-4 and US Hwy 27. Walkers and beginners will enjoy the player-friendly traditional design, which features short distances to the green. The layout consists of par 3s and par 4s only. Deer Park's front nine is a bit gentler than the back nine where you'll find plenty of sand coming into play as well as many trees. The golf course also has a few tight spots where you'll have to employ accuracy and good course management. You'll get a chance to work on your short irons on this course. Golfers wanting a formidable test should look elsewhere but there are enough challenges at Deer Park to keep the round interesting.

Very different this time of year
When we first moved to Florida 4 years ago I used to play the front 9 early in the morning walking and could finish is about an hour, come home. shower and go to work. The greens at that time were in pretty poor shape, but, I was paying $10 for 9 holes so it was a good deal.
Golf now showed one available tee spot for every tee time between 1 and 2. So I drove down without a reservation and asked to play. I was told they had no tee times until 3. I stepped to the back of the pro shop, checked Golf Now on my phone, and 1:22 had a spot for a single, so I booked it. I went back up to the counter and told the clerk that I had the 1:22 Tee time. She then spoke to someone in the back saying: GolfNow sold one of those tee times I blocked. But she took my money and sent me out.
I joined a semi-retired couple down from upstate New York as a third (so there were two spots available). They were a lot of fun and we enjoyed the next 3:30.
The course was pretty packed on a Thursday afternoon with sunshine and temps in the upper 70s (just what the chamber of commerce sells this time of year). At the very end of when I used to play at Deer Creek they began to put in new greens. The new greens are very nice, but...even during tourist gigging season I think $45 for an executive course is steep. I can think of three in a 20 mile radius that would have been at least $10 less.
It's been a while since I played some of them, but Polo Park (East or West) are also in Davenport. I often play the Hampton's when they have good rates, or Lake Bess.
If you've got tee spots available I think they should be for sale, that is, after all, what the course is there for. It will be quite a while before I go back. The course is nice, but the attitude of the help (probably focused on non-resident walk ins) is not something you have to put up with.
Don’t expect much!
This is mostly a beginners golf course. Lots of short par 3 holes with a few easy par 4 holes.
For winter golf the course was not in good condition. Greens were poor with a lot of sand found on many of the greens.
The course is basically a par 3, 18 hole course that isn’t well cared for. On most holes there are mobile homes and RV’s on usually both sides of the fairway. On the day we were there we had basically the course to ourselves. We saw maybe 10 other golfers all day.
Very basic layout and not too challenging. We paid $40 for the round and I am not sure it was worth the money.
The Canadiens
It’s a great little course, lots of fun to play with a great layout, very friendly staff, and a nice tiki bar at the end
Surprising spunky Executive Course
This 18 hole course has some interesting undulations in most fairways and even the greens that look relatively flat, may surprise you. We thoroughly enjoyed the 'fast' shaved greens but it took a few holes to get the right touch. Between the 2 of us we had 3 birdies. There were hills, some water and some narrow fairways tucked amid a well tended mobile home / RV park. Everyone was friendly and it is obviously a very active golf community.
19th hole makes it all worth while.
Friendly staff and the tiki bar make this place special
Deer Creek afternoon special
We noticed a $20 with cart special on golf now. This is an exceptional value even though the greens were under major repair. A fun course where you can get intimate with your irons in a fairly challenging course.
tough course
this course will bite you quickly. right fairways short but very challenging
Early Season
The course layout provided a fair callenge for a golfer's short game. Course conditions were dry and patchy but that may be due to it being early in the season. RV trailers are snug right up to the edge of the fairways adding an element anxiety to your twe shot.
Friendly and fun course
Played this course with my husband, they were very friendly and welcoming in the pro shop. The course itself is par threes and fours and some of the par threes are quite tricky. The course itself is in quite nice condition and for the price we paid it was really good value for money. It's also a good course if you just want a quick round of golf. I would definitely play this course again,.
Poor Needs a lot of attention
My husband and I played this course several times. Now a new management took over, we will not be returning. The fairways were horrible and a lot of ants all over. No greens, ball rolled all over. This is a shame, we used to love playing here.
Enjoyable
We enjoyed playing this course, especially as it seemed like we had the course to ourselves. It is in a lot better condition than when we last played it about 3 years ago. A few of the greens need attention, but we are sure that they have this in hand. Would play again.
Poor condition
Not the 4 star rating shown on Golf Now. Course was extremely dry and in poor condition.
