White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

Disappointed

Course itself was not in great shape. The pin placements had not been changed recently and there was damage to several cups. The tee boxes had not been mowed in some time and the fairways were bumpy. Probably would have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t so cold and windy.

Could be so much better

The good things about the course are the staff was very friendly and accommodating even let me tee off on number 10 so I would get around the course faster, interesting layout, a lot of unique holes unfortunately the bad things about the course outweigh the good ones I thought the course was in very poor condition of all the courses I played in Florida in the last month and a half this one has to be the worst condition course I’ve played bumpy lumpy fairways greens with different types of grass and sandy spots on them just overall not in good shape and I have to say I would not play this course again.

Good value

Fun to play every hole is different. Lots of water. You need to plan your shots accordingly

Due to very dry conditions course was not in great shape but we still enjoyed playing it. Every hole was a challenge.

Good and Bad

Drive into a very nice gated community, expecting the same level of golf course but not so much. Cart we had was not in good shape. Range balls were in horrible shape, driving range tee area was closed so had to hit balls in front of the tee. Pro shop looked like an afterthought. Greens had layer of green sand top dressed, not sure what that was about, but they didn’t roll too bad. Maintenance of tees wasn’t very good, fairways and bunkers maintained OK.

Great course great layout. Pace of play is perfect. Only issue is dry spot randomly throughout the course but cant knock them since it has rained once in 2 months. My new home course

Great test with full range of tee options

Be prepared, front 9 is tough. First 6 holes are loaded with trouble. Greens rolled true. Rough is very dry due to our lack of rain
