About
White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

Golfer Reviews
Best course and value in the area
Exellent condions --fairways , greens , practice areas
Great test of golf -with 16 holes water in play
Great customer service , proshop, beverage cart, cart shack, driving
A must play if your in the area
Great experience
The course has a wonderfully challenging layout making it very enjoyable. Pace of play was wonderful as well as the staff. Will definitely be back.
Much to like
I'm assuming a new management group is involved with this course. My garmin had the nines reversed, so a change there. The layout is challenging, with water hazards on most holes and fairway bunkering making accuracy off the tee critical. Greens were firm and putted nicely. The clubhouse area and other facilities are somewhat dated but the GPS on the new carts was a nice feature. I can't understand, however, why the primary teeboxes on #10 were converted into additional putting greens, requiring a 5 iron layup off the tee or challenges you to drive the green. And, the new green on #18 creates a second drivable par 4, which slows play on a course without an apparent ranger. Still, a satisfying day on a course I'd recommend, just bring your fairway finder off the tee.
Nice place
Great place to play course is in great shape. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great GM and cart girl. Would recommend to anyone. Pace of play less than 4 hours. Greens rolling well!!!!
Great Course for the value
White Heron is a great golf course. If you are a beginner you may want to move up tees given that there is a lot of water. It is a great value per round. Pace of play, especially on week days, is very good. The course is both fun and challenging at times.
White Heron
Tremendous layout. Has the potential to be the best track in central Florida. Currently in very good shape and can’t be beat for the money. Pace of play was fantastic and surroundings were very pretty
The staff was top notch. Glenn in the clubhouse was extremely nice and very helpful. Would recommend playing this course for certain
Excellent choice in Orlando area
There is no better value for you money in the Orlando area to play golf. Course is difficult but fair, club house is stocked with everything you need, employees are extremely friendly. Whenever I show up, I can count on a clean cart to meet in the parking lot, a quick and easy check-in and friendly staters (Harold or Dave) to find the best pairings . You won't find a better course. Something is wrong with you if you don't enjoy a round at White Heron golf course!
Holiday golf
We always White Heron when we have been on holiday and first played it when it was still called Ridgewood Lakes. The course has not changed over the years, apart from the 18th, which is now a shortish par4 from a par5. I love how it winds its way through the development of Ridgwood Lakes. Although not difficult from the forward tees, the course itself has its own challenges with some long par 5's and very tight par 4's.
We love this course and will play it again should we return to Florida.
Great course
Played several courses while I was in Orlando. This was my favorite even played one of the high dollar Disney courses.
Great Course!
Love this course. Staff is very friendly, very helpful! This course has some challenging holes!
Banned from the golf course for review.
Just tried to book a tee time and was told “we are not welcome back because we wrote a bad review”
They said they tried to call us about the review (never got a call).
The review was written months ago and we have played there since. But NOW they want to tell us we aren’t welcome because we shared our opinion with the golf community instead of “coming to him”.
We have been golfing here regularly for the past year. We had some bad experiences and after one really bad day. Bad pace of play, bad greens, ect. We decided to write a review hoping it would get up to higher management and they would finally correct it.
I see a lot of reviews on here agreeing with my option on how this course is. So obviously not just me.
Honestly yall have a lot of bad reviews and it hasn’t really changed so I don’t know what coming to you personally would have done. We don’t want a free game, or an I’m sorry. We want you to do better.
slow 4 Ball
Waited to play from the 5th by a 4 ball playing off the long tees couldn't hit the ball. We actually caught them up on the tee on more than one occasion never looked like letting us through we were a 2 ball.
No Ranger
If you would like to stop by or call us to discuss this, we would be more than happy to talk to you, as far as your review we made the decision based on the fact that the review was full of untruths. When you posted your review in November our prices were 49.00 not 80-90.00 , we reviewed the GPS history and you played your round well within our guide lines, there were never 3-4 groups on a tee. You commented derogatorily towards our Starter and our Cart person that was comepletly uncalled for, our staff goes the extra mile to provide customer service and if there was a problem we wish you had came to us. The course was and is in excellent shape. We always took very good care of you and whoever you brought with you, leaving carts out late for you letting you have a rider at no extra charge. That is why I tried numerous times to contact you about the situation. You clearly stated in your review "Don't Waste Your Time Or Money" so I'm not sure why you would want to play here. Like I said early we can resolve this and hopefully have a good ending, we liked you guys and we just couldn't understand what happened, so contact me at anytime 863-547-8800 ext. 1
Thanks
