White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

conditions

The greens are in need of rolling as they are are not smooth. Not due to typical contours of the greens but to reasons making it impossible to properly read. This was very apparent playing early in the morning when the sun was still low. Rest of course is fantastic. Fairways amongst the best of the many courses I've played these past couple of months. The current prices are excellent considering the quality of the layout,

Challenging Course

Nice, very challenging course. It was in very good condition except for a single tee box. The greens were a tad long and a bit slow but some of the best I’ve played on this past year. Holes were mixed with wide and narrow fairways. Lots of water, trees and strategically placed bunkers. The golf carts were exceptional. Near new with GPS and ball and club washers onboard. There’s a small pro shop and restaurant bar and a water and ice machine My biggest complaint was that the kitchen was not really open so don’t expect to get some thing to eat, except maybe premade sandwiches. Although I played poorly, I highly recommend this course and will return.

Good for the money

It appeared to be a low volume day as far as golfers on the course.

We had no one in front or anyone pushing us from behind. The tee boxes were not in the best of shape. Fairways were average to above average. Greens were definitely on the slow side for my liking. Staff was working hard on the course to keep it maintained and beautuful. There are many nice challenges and the course is layed out well. I would have no issue returning again.
