White Heron Golf Club

The weather was sunny and warm with little or no shade in sight. The starter and cart lady earned five stars for being friendly and helpful. The course is being worked on and really isn’t bad but it isn’t great. It has more than it’s fair share of water.with some being obvious and some sneaky. Some how the course doesn’t fit my eye. Perhaps it’s just too great a challenge for a fair weather golfer. I would recommend it to friends who hit straight shots to tight fairways.

Great afternoon. Went on GolfNow looking for a single player and was paired up with 3 great guys from Wisconsin. Price was fair at $55 given what other courses in the area are charging. Course was in nice shape, great layout and pace of play was really good too. Lots of fun even though I played poorly. Such is the game of golf I guess. I am hopeful to get back there before we have to return home to the great white north Canada.

Enjoyed the course layout and conditions. Tee boxes in excellent shape, greens were generally good and rolled well, fairways were fine and lots of water to contend with. Pace was a little slow but a very enjoyable day.

A very challenge course with water on EVERY hole.

Fun to play but our round took over 5 hours. Waited to tee off on every hole with several holes arriving at each tee before the previous group left the tee. Still had a fun time on a very hot (84 degree) day.

I haven’t played this course since it changed name from Ridgewood to White Heron. This course has made a remarkable turn for the better. The fairways and greens were in great condition. The greens were fast. The course plays long which does make it challenging. I think it was hole 2 or 3 that is a par 5, with water on the right, and dogleg right, and 590 yards for the white tees! It was a bit pricey but that is more indicative of the market right now. It’s ilea’s expensive that most other courses. I would definitely play again!

The layout of this course is fun. It’s definitely challenging but that makes it even more fun. High handicaps like me….Be advised….There is a lot of water. lol This course was basically unplayable a few years back. Whomever bought this course, THANK YOU! This course is back on its way up. It’s not perfect quite yet. But it looks like they can get there!

Did not play when down here last year because of the bad reviews. Overall the course was in decent condition , but overpriced at $90.

Enough choices of Tee boxes to pro levels. Huge difference from whites 6333 to blue 6880. 2 holes becomes very hard to hit across water from blues instead of whites. You need a 220yd drive to get to the fairway from blues. Greens are in great shape. enough hazards and doglegs to make it a challenge. Mishits of fairways will cost you strokes. I played whites and shot and 80 then played blues and shot 90. Staff were great to deal with. Its the only course in the area that I found that charged the same rates for non residence before 8am maybe 9am. Thats a $20 difference if you are a non residence. I would play here again and again.
