DECLINING VALUE
CAUTION...on booking this course. Over the past 3 years I have played this course 20-25 times a year,,,and this late October and e-weekend of November, I am amazed in the decline of the course and current shape of the course (TERRIBLE)...it used to be in great shape...and last year they started cutting corners on care and maintenance of the course...and it shows now! Tees boxes are pretty tattered, like your standing on a rough backyard playground, then the fairways...yikes...a mess from opening too too early after rain and they have ruined several fairways this year...today was cart path only and frankly they should not have sent us out...there was over half the course holes had 12 inches or deeper of standing water (AND THEY DIDN"T SAY ANYTHING AT TIME OF BOOKING)...the check-in was easy...season hasn't started,,,but the pro-shop staff are challenged at fundamental meet and greet, they act more like toll booth operators with headphones on collecting coins, for the non-US based company that owns them. NOTE the outside services (starters and cart staff) bring the value meter up, they are a great group of guys that hustle to make sure you're ready and all is ok! So, we played 4 holes in nearly 2 hours AAAHH....YIKES and I went back for a raincheck on the round...and apparently they DON'T GIVE RAINCHECK...even though they will FALSE advertise conditions of course...so you start your round and therefore no raincheck. Hmm? I would consider I'm a regular, I tip the guys and gals fairly...but this cheap operation and management shows. I'm so bummed about this,,,the course is so close to the jet center and surrounding communities but has 2 STAR RATING & EXPERIENCE, and the 2 instead of 1 star POOR rating is only because some of the outside golf staff are doing the best they can with out of country/foreign management. SKIP THIS COURSE
Needs Work
My first time out in Florida for this season and was hoping they fixed the course up since playing there last year . However it was worse then last year and will not return again until I hear it has been restored. $25.00 fee at most.
Heavy rains from previous week left the course very wet and underwater in some spots. Despite that the course was very playable and enjoyable. Good routing. Some tee boxes had more weeds than grass and some greens looked like a fungus hit them but still putted true. I would play again.
The course needs a little love
Played on a wet rainy day.Fairways where in good shape as well as the ruff.Greens where in bad shape you could putt but lacked grass.Bunkers needed sand.Could still be a nice course if given a little love
Good course. Poor tee time management.
Course was pretty decent. Fairway needed mowing as it was a bit thick and not much ball run out. But the most frustrating part was they put our 4 some on the first hole with another group at the same time. So we had them rushing us the entire time. Played 18 as a 4 some in just over 3 hours. Pace of play was unpleasant and don’t enjoy being rushed for an entire round.
4 stars is a joke
The layout is horrible, the condition was that of a municipal course. The pace of play was 6 hrs. They let singles out in between foursomes. How anyone that knows anything about golf would ever give this place 4 stars is a joke.
Pleasantly Surprised
Haven't been here in over 10 months as conditions were getting rough. However we played on Saturday and the course was in great shape. The Greens rolled at about a 10 on the stump and rolled true. Pace of play for the weekend was excellent. All in all it was a great day. Will definitely come back.
A little steep price for a not so great a course.
The course is wide open with little trouble. The bunker sand was awesome but fairways and greens need some help. Not fair to judge the staff because of COVID19 scare.
Used to be nice!
Course sucks -not worth the money! Last time I’ll play here! It won’t be long before they are building housing on this course also!
Well done
Conditions were excellent, you can tell the course was well maintained during the shutdown. Well done!
ever since Clublink bought the courses, they have gone down in quality and playability! its too bad because like you said the peole who work there are genuinely courteous and hard working!
Clublink also sold off the Woodlands 2 courses, heron bay and basically as you say just want your money!
they wanted me to renew my membership for the same price with no concessions for less courses, time lost to clousures due to covid ,etc
Gotta wonder who runs this company as they really are bad at it
amen Just checked to see if they posted my review. see below. What a joke @$42.00.
