The course was good. Greens were good. Tough driving at times and long par 3s.
Cypress
The course was fun and challenging but for me possibly to much water but I did enjoy the greens
Challenging Course Fun to Play
The course is in very good condition, greens are fast. The course is very challenging to play, fairways are mostly generous but lined with trees so important to stay in the fairways to get a clear shot to the greens. A fun course to play and would definitely go back!
Looking better but sloooooooow
I hadn't played here for about a year. Overall course conditions are improved (especially tee boxes). Greens were a bit patchy but rolled true. My main annoyance is the on-course maintenance staff - generally they seemed oblivious to the golfers. I had one maintenance staffer sitting in a cart staring at me on the tee box from 125 yards out, another rustling up palms adjacent to the tee when teeing off. A little self awareness would've been great. Pace of play was not good - over 4.5 hours.
Lousy course conditions
Have played at Palm Aire for years, worst I have seen course conditions. Uneven and dirt on tees, greens spotty at best. Can't take cart to driving range. Pretty disappointing.
Average
This course is ok but maybe I am spoiled by all the great courses back in Michigan. Everything is pretty straight forward here with not much challenge or visual appeal. The course condition was fair but shows it’s age and the upkeep was average. Greens are firm and rolled quite well but they are all relatively flat with minimal break to challenge you. The staff was very friendly and pace of play was fine as we finished in 4.5 hrs. It was nice to shake off the winter rust.
They overbooked the teetimes so I didn’t get a chance to go off on the cypress course. I did play the oaks and it was fine
Course in great condition, greens were fast and smooth.
I found the course to challenging as usual. The fairways and greens were in great shape. The starter took the time to advise that the greens had been cut and rolled the morning we played. The pace of play was not bad considering it is season here. The only thing I found that could have been better were the bunkers. They were hard packed and in need of being raked and perhaps some sand. Have rebooked to play again next week.
