Diamond Valley Golf Club is an easy drive into Hemet Valley from a number of locations including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Though it's easily accessible, the course is tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, offering a feel of peaceful seclusion. The layout encompasses a variety of terrain, from scenic waterscapes to lush, rolling hills covered with native plants and grasses. With dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, this course isn't walker friendly, which can easily be overlooked if you're looking for a truly formidable test. The sloping nature of the landscape lends a different character to each hole and the elevated tees provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of Diamond Valley Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th. It's as scenic as it is challenging, requiring a short iron to wedge shot over a cascading waterfall.

Picturesque
Nice course with wide fairways. No houses to worry about. Greens are average. The pace of play was around 4 hours.
I love this course but...
I drive over an hour to get to this course 5-6 times a year so I love the course. Teed off about 8:00 walked of the 16th green and left for the parking lot at 1:10. Marshall came out to move things at the 4th hole (3 groups on the par 3 and a 4th arriving) But had to wait on every hole there were only 5-6 groups ahead of us, should not have been a challenge to figure out what the problem was. Conditions great, pro shop friendly,
Very Nice
Was a great place, well maintained, nice layout, would def. play it again.
Very convenient and likeable.
I play here often and like the course. I like this course for this area.
Slow Play & Average Conditions - NOT a 4 Star Course
This course could be a 5 star course. However, overall conditions were definitely NOT anything better than 2 stars. The fairways were dry and hard with many very tight lies. The sand traps were basically unplayable. Hard as a rock underneath about 1/4 inch of usually wet sand. If this course were in good condition (and about 300 yards longer) it could be difficult enought for the pros to play. However, for most golfers (those with handicaps above 8-10) this course will be brutal. Tough undulating greens, fairways with slopes that require shaped shots (I hit several drives that hit in the center of the fairway but bounded into the rough). If they maintained the sand traps and watered a bit more, this course could jump up to a 4 star course. But the current 3.9 star rating is way higher than it should be.
Terribly slow play
Pretty course, but holes not designed to separate golfers. Always waiting, sometimes 4 groups at a hole. I gave up after 9 but my wife and sister in law soldiered on, thinking it might get better, but it did not. I visited local museum instead
Great Layout But!
Loved the course design, challenging without hammering you into the ground. However a 5 hour round is way too long. No course Marshall to be seen. I will give the course another shot, but another 5 hour round and I will spend my money elsewhere.
When It's Windy, Forget It!
Fast greens were nearly unplayable in the wind. Balls within 5 feet of the pin blew off the greens.
Not much fun.
A real Diamond in the Rough
This course is moderately challenging but the fast and undulating greens, two of which have three tiers, add significantly to the degree of difficulty. Can't say enough about the staff; we arrived late for our tee time but they got us out without any problems. Pace of play was good, about 4 1/2 hrs, which was not bad after a busy morning. Much more preferable over Hemet and Seven Hills in that area.
We needed a Warmup
My partner and I got to the course 45 min. before our scheduled Tee time of 1:17 PM. The staff, which consisted of one very nice lady, checked us in. We wanted to warm up hitting balls but the range was quite a walk and there were no carts available to get us there. We were told not to leave the immediate area until a cart was ready for us. We hit a few putts and our starting time was on time. I know there's been a lack of rainfall but there are very tight lies on most fairways and around the greens which caused more than one skulled shot.
Nice Views
This course has a lot of hills and different views and is in great shape! Greens are fast and very difficult. I had a blast!
Interesting and challenging
This is my favorite Hemet course! The holes are interesting, pleasing to the eye, with variety, you never feel like you're playing the same hole. It's walkable, but challenging, as there's a few hills and a couple of long walks green to tee. The views of the surrounding hills are great, and there's lots of hawks and pretty birds. A great value!
Hidden Gem
absolutely one of the best layouts in IE. Course is a fair test of golf for anyone. One of my favorite courses. Never gets old.
Challenging greens but fair
We all enjoyed the course, even though it was a cool day, and our golfing was poor. The greens are in good shape not excellent as there was a little bit of ball damage on most greens,. The course is dry but that was expected for the dry season. But at that the fairways were in pretty good shap, the sand traps were very hard and need to be worked more with finer sand added to them, some could not get there wedges under a the ball as the traps were to hard.
But in comparison to other courses in the area, most liked the course. And would come back. The facilities are not much, ball cleaners were few.
extremely slow play
We were 4players in our group. Our tee time was 12:00.They let us started about 10:00 minutes early. It took us 1 hour and 10 minutes to play 3 holes. One of our player called the pro shop and complained about the slow play and asked if we could get a rain check. The management was agreeable to give it to us.
Fun challenging course
The weather was cool and windy which add to the challenge. The views form the course are beautiful. Because of the weather the course was quiet no one in front for 3 holes and 1 hole behind. We had a great outing and are already planning our next.
Unique course
I enjoy the variety of holes, and find it currently a bit dry. The greens are kept in good conditions.
Diamond not so rough
Played DV Sat 1/18 @ 11:08am via Golfnow for $22. Pace of play was about 4 1/2 hours. Greens were in good shape overall (hole 10 & 11 had moderate ball mark damage). They were running medium/fast and consistent. Fairways were mostly good with some thin areas. Rough was a mixed bag between lush to thin. Tee boxes were mostly level except for par 3 tee boxes. Bunkers are never good here, sad to say. I've gotten used to the type of customer service here since I play here so often. As been mentioned before, there is not a starter. Honor system is in place as to who is next on the tee. This could cause problems though I've never witnessed any. With the nice conditions and Canadians in town (thank you for visiting Hemet, we love you guys) DV gets a lot of play. Last thing, if you have a push cart, bring it. They run out of carts every once in awhile.
Greens are Awesome
The course is in very good shape considering it is the middle of winter. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the greens were. They have these greens in great shape and rolling smooth. This is a fair yet challenging course. There are a few long par 4's, along with a few short par 4's that can be reached with solid drives. I really like playing this course and recommend it to all golfers, regardless of skill level.
Fun course. No houses
Very fast greens with a lot of subtle breaks makes this a challenging course but still fun.good staff that is courteous nice grass driving range and good golf carts
