Diamond Valley Golf Club is an easy drive into Hemet Valley from a number of locations including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Though it's easily accessible, the course is tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, offering a feel of peaceful seclusion. The layout encompasses a variety of terrain, from scenic waterscapes to lush, rolling hills covered with native plants and grasses. With dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, this course isn't walker friendly, which can easily be overlooked if you're looking for a truly formidable test. The sloping nature of the landscape lends a different character to each hole and the elevated tees provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of Diamond Valley Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th. It's as scenic as it is challenging, requiring a short iron to wedge shot over a cascading waterfall.

Challenging and fun
Course was in good condition. They were plugging a couple of the holes but that did not take away from the playing experience. Greens were fast. Challenging but still fun.
Terrific condition
This is a wonderful course at a good price. Weekday pace of play was so good I did 36 holes in 6.5 hours. Really out of the way but well worth the drive.
Great course
I really like this course. It is a challenge, but fair. There are a number of elevated fairways that make you pay forwayward drives, but that is how it should be. No course-side houses to worry about, just golf as it should be played. I wil be back soon.
Diamond Valley
Nice open course. Well maintained. Fast green. A little windy but, adds to the challange. Had the whole place to ourselves! Found it to be understaffed in instances where several guests required assistance, but understand the deficiency from a business perspective.
I plan on attending Diamond Valley again soon!
All alone
If you want to be all alone, no houses, no anything, Diamond Valley is the course for you. You play around, through and between rocks, over ditches, up creeks and 3/4 island greens. It's a hard course the first time. It takes a couple of times to get used to where you're going. Our group in front of us got lost between 2 and 3 and had to come back to play the right hole. But all of the holes are worth it. And you might see a roadrunner or snake while you're our there. Lots of wildlife and horses across the street.
Beginner's Edge
It is great to have specials while I'm just learning to play golf. I like to go out by myself since I do not play well enough "yet" to keep a score. Diamond Valley is great for me since it is the closest course to me. I didn't feel pressure while letting a couple other single golfers go on past me. It took me the first nine to relax in order to focus and really practice but this course is perfect for where I am in this sport. It will also be perfect as I progress. The staff is extremely pleasant and made me feel quite comfortable as a beginner.
What a shock
We've been playing this course for years and had only 1bad experience in 10+ years, until yesterday. This course has always been a hidden gem, old reliable when you wanted to play a course that was properly priced and in great shape. It's in terrible shape ( tee box, fairway and greens ). Made the turn around 10am, went in to get a bite and the girl at the restuarant was sitting and watching tv, and said she was getting ready to get up and start making sandwiches. You would think they would have hotdogs or something ready about a half hour after the 1st tee time. There is a different vibe about the place now. It feels like it has been sold and the new owners aren't putting money into the course, or the old owners let it go down and the new owners can't figure out how to bring it back. I could continue, but I think I've said enough. We're taking this course off of our playing rotation. Very sad
Great Course
After watching the U.S. Open at Pinehurst #2 this course condition reminded me of that. Beautiful fairways and greens but more natural conditions on the edges of fairways. For a medium skilled golfer like myself I found the rough was playable because the course is kept mowed close and even the dirt areas are generally flat and clear of impediments. It is wide open with no houses to worry about and has enough water and sand hazards to make it challenging. I will be back.
Great course for the money
I go to this course about once or twice a month. Always in good condition. Can get hot during the summer months. But course is generally in good condition
A tough course
Really a good tract, very fair, but a challenge from the back tees. The fairways were in great shape, and the greens were well maintained.
Great course
Took my dad and brother and they really liked the course. They said they will be back for sure. Great layout. Love the holes with water.
Fun course
Nice set up. Peaceful play. And friendly staff. Definitely would recommend to give it a shot.
Decent course for the money but...
Played Memorial Day w/excellent weather conditions. Greens were somewhat hard but balls rolled true. Some of the green were multilevel so putting was a bit tricky. Sand traps weren't sand but hard dirt. The pro shop is old, dusty and in serious need of some upgrading. There was no cart girl or starter... actually the 1 pro shop person was acting starter as well on this day. The snack area was woefully low on food and drink variety. Definitely go for the course layout/challenge but lower your expectations and don't expect much from the 19th hole!
Pleasantly surprised! Great conditions.
First time playing here and was very impressed with the conditions. Fairways were lush and in excellent condition as were the greens, though I didn't find them as fast as other reviewers here did. Played as a single in just over three hours.
Challenging course with a beautiful backdrop of mountains
The front nine are a challenge with hazards you can't always see. Course knowledge would be helpful to turn the front nine into pars. The back nine much easier (most holes). The course is well kept and the greens blazing fast. The panoramic bucolic views and big mountain vistas are a beautiful backdrop. Best time to play is before the summer heat cranks up. Not a lot of trees for shade!
good day to play
Good weather and course was in good shape. Disappointed with site as price indicated with discount was more than price at the counter, stuck aging higher price.
Good views
Good coarse with nice views. Good for all levels. Would recommend to others and play again.
This course is in very good condition
Played on Saturday and came back on Thursday to play it again. The best condition its ever been in.
Smooth and fairly quick (10) greens. Fairways were beautiful. The wind gusts make it a lot of fun.
Great track ! Play it, you'll have a blast ! Well worth the price.
DV golf
Always a fun place to play. Course is in great condition and the greens roll well. Tees can determine your challenge level, from the back it can be a very challenging track, especially when the winds pick up. Holes vary in length and some provide birdie opportunities, while others par or even bogey can be a good score. Course offers elevation changes, water, and bunkers. However, the bunkers can be difficult to judge as there are small pebbles and can be quite firm. I enjoy the fact the track doesn't twist and turn through houses and offers great views of the surrounding areas. There were some dirt bikes off in the distance but only really became noticeable ona few holes. Diamond valley golf is always a great place to get out and swing the sticks.
Fun Course
Holes laid out nicely with forgiving play if you play smart and not try to go for it on most holes like a lot of guys do. Use fairway wood instead of driver, use iron instead of driver on a couple of holes.
