General Old Golf Course

Looks like the greens are being fixed up. If that gets done, then this course is good for the price. Friendly staff. I played at 99degrees outside and there's not a lot of shade.

The fairways and greens are the worse I’ve ever seen them. Fairways are uncut, patches of crabgrass all over them. Which really destroys a great tee shot down the middle, with no chance of getting clean strike on the ball. Greens look like they either have a fungus or just poorly cared for or both. 12 of 18 need to be replaced entirely. Lastly, the tee times were so off that we started 50 after our reserved time.

i like the course layout, long holes, small challenging greens. staff was friendly . course condition was awful. the greens were blocky patches and were bouncing. if you were trying to a shoot a low score there, putting would have been super difficult. fairways were beat up with weeds in the middle of the fairway. half of my chips from 40 yards and in were uneven lies because of grass and im talking in front of the green. there's uneven lies because of course slope but this was uneven lies because of grass and weed growth. i would lay up to find i had a tougher shot because of the lie. essentially the course doesnt have grass and only patchy parts. The round took five hours and marshals were on the course. the heat was hot but that's whatever. if you are playing just to have fun i would price it at 30 bucks. other than that, you're just paying more because there's no where else to play.

I was able to get a 10:30 tee time for without any problems for $50 on a weekend morning with cart! A single player joined our two-some and we played most of the day without any waiting until the 15th hole and still finished in 3 hrs 40 min. with one of us walking. The fairways and greens were in surprisingly good condition for the middle of the summer, although some of the greens had some mixed grass that caused it to be little bumpy at times. This course seemed in much better shape than I remember just one year ago so kudos to the greenskeeper and staff. The Pro Shop guy was very friendly and got us out immediately after we confirmed out tee time reservation. There is no drink cart but there is a snack bar with cold drinks. beer and typical golf course food. If you get a sandwich or burger, they make it fresh, so expect to wait. I just grabbed a hot dog on the turn so I could get back on the course. They also have a full range and puting green if you want to warm up before the round.

Overall, highly pleased with the course experience.

The pace of play was atrocious. We were there for 6 hours because the tee times were within 5 minutes apart and it was backed up by the first hole and we ended up teeing off 30 minutes later than our tee time.

I paid for one-player to teach my wife golf, but I paid 13$ more because I had to pay an additional fee on the spot.

For the price it seemed worth a look however I received even more than I paid for and I am NOT referring to the positive aspect.

Upon arriving early the parking was plentiful (1 1/2 hr early). As a first timer to this course and driving from out of State it was best I find my way to the course and have time for practice. Checked in with pro shop to learn I was booked with others to fill the foursome ok, not out of norm and the attendant stated he'll call me 15 minutes prior to load up so I asked "how's the pace of play?" His response "it's going to be slow" . Thought again nothing unusual so I went to the practice green. While waiting for over an hour I watched the pace of play; 1 young man played 2 off the tee and took several from the fairway. A student with her dad was next and played 3 off the tee and several from the fairway. Another student with her dad taking several off the tee and fairway. 3 people off hole #1, none off #10, in an hours time and now I'm thinking "it's going to be slow"? Needing an update or explanation I addressed the golf desk with what I've seen to be told the tee sheet is what it is and that I have still 20 mind for my 1:28 tee time. Not wanting to push the issue I went to restroom and my upon returning my fellow tee time players were checking in (it is now 1:10) the attendant would not provide keys to the carts to load up stating we HAD to wait until 1:15 "it's our policy". We explained we're only loading and he, the attendant, lost his cool and revealed to us "that because we booked online and got a better golf rate than everyone else, we have wait even for the key" He certainly treated us as a second class citizen which is completely against why we book hot deals on golfnow.

As for the course conditions and amententies "dog track comes mind" finally getting a golf cart it was FILTHY as if it had not been cleaned in months. The fairways we're not playable in any condition, mostly patch areas and the tift greens were diseased.

Players get what they pay for with this one and it's NO DEAL!

This course is deceivingly difficult. Stay on the fairways because the trees and dirt will make getting Par harder than you think.

I’ve been playing here for years. Mainly using the Hot Deals offer but I’ve paid the rack rate a number of times over the years. The staff has always been polite and accommodating and one the reasons I enjoy the course. .

Yesterday I and the others who were using the the same Hot Deal tee time were treated like second class citizens.

I could go into all the details but let me just say he ended with making a point that because we are a Hot Deal we were a loss leader for the course. I guess he felt that gave him the right to treat us disrespectfully.

Decent course for the price, but they continuously overbook. Tee time was pushed 30min back because of how many people were on the course waiting. Layout is nice, greens are in fair condition, staff is friendly.

My son and I played Saturday morning and found the course pretty challenging. I highly recommend you stay on the fairways, because the trees and dirt are difficult to get out of. The greens were bumpy but overall a fun place to play.
