About
Pala Mesa Golf Resort is situated between Temecula wine country and the beautiful countryside of San Diego's North County. The course was carefully carved from the surrounding hillsides, providing rolling fairways and undulating greens throughout the layout. Towering oaks, sycamores, and elms blanket the course's landscape, providing the perfect complement to the stunning mountain views. The fairways are tight and lined with trees, demanding a fair amount of accuracy. The greens also play fairly quick. The golf course does provide a challenging round but it is seemingly much tougher than it actually is. Beginners should still feel comfortable taking on the course. The versatile layout in combination with the consistently good conditions have earned Pala Mesa acclaim as one of the best golf courses in San Diego County.

Pala Mesa
Challenging course, not a lot of bail out right or left. Loved the pace of play. For that alone, we will play again! The salmon tacos in the restaurant are really good!

AVOID
Whereas the back nine is fine, the front nine is in TERRIBLE shape. Every fairway on the front has LARGE areas where the grass is completely gone and the greens aren't much better.

Challenging, Tight Course.
Course was in good condition and greens rolled fairly true. Keep the ball in the fairway to avoid awkward second shots. Challenging course due to narrow fairways.

It’s a $30-45 course to play with bunkers in terrible conditions.

Short course Challenge
This course didn't play long, but has a very fun layout. The Fairways and greens were spotty but I did enjoy my round.

Not worth it
Staff is nice, but the course is just trash. Fungus and hard ground. Greens are awful. It’s not the worst course I’ve ever played but it’s at most a 40-50 round, not 120. No wonder there was no one else playing.

Golf review
Range was horrible. Golf course condition was just ok. No Marshall to kee play moving. Got behind a group that was slower than molasses in January.Course was definitely not worth the price I paid.

Price point is WAY off!
Pala is a decent course and, fun to play, but with the recent rate hikes, it’s not worth the prime time rate. If you’re going to choose this course, definitely opt for the afternoon rate.
Hopefully the new ownership will work quickly to get the greens issues worked out and, put some actual sand in the bunkers.

Cow Pasture
In what could be a really great golf course, they are over priced for the condition the course is in. The greens, every put went through a series of bumps and turns. The fairways were patchy at best. The price they charge is the worst money I’ve spent on the golf course that I can remember.

Fun Course!
Had a great time at this course with my friends. Had absolutely nobody in front or behind us so got to take our time and enjoy the course. Course conditions were great besides the greens, but not the worst. Overall great experience will definitely come back and play again.

Great course
Excellent conditions. I played with a golf now deal, definitely worth 80, not sure I would pay 150 for it. Some challenging holes from the tips requiring some creative shots. Not an overly punishing course. Greens held well, could use a little help.

Great course
I was on vacation in Temecula, Ca and was looking for courses to play. I strongly recommend this course the conditions were great. The only thing that I experienced was the pace of play on the back 9 was slower than I am used to, but overall this is a course I would recommend if you are in the area.
