Stonehouse/Creek at Temecula Creek Inn Golf Resort

Course layout is unmatched. Usually a pristine conditioned course, but the rough is thicker then I’ve ever really seen it and greens are very slow. Probably has to do with a lot the unusual amount of rain we’ve received the last few weeks.

Prepare for slow play, as a lot of golfers opt to walk with additional cart fees on top of green fee.

This course is in lovely condition. fairways like carpet and great greens. The StoneHouse 9 wound it's way up, down, and around the canyons, the Oaks 9 was a bit flatter and more open. All told, the course was in great shape, and it was a wonderful day of golf.

Checked into the pro shop for 1220 teatime and found out that they moved my time up by 10 minutes. I had to catch up to the group that was already playing whole one and very nice fellows. It was a great day all around good time.

The rain and the work of the maintenance staff has this course in great shape. Fairways and greens are lush. Do yourself a favor and play here before summer can dry it out.

We played the creek/oaks at 2pm a finished the first 9 in under 1:15, slowed down a bit on the back nine. Can’t complain about course conditions but the snack bar was closed and the pro shop doesn’t sell any drinks.

Most impressed by a holiday round of 4 hours! Will go back again. A little hilly to walk. Expect a workout but was good for me. Only negative was I couldn’t find an access point to pro shop with my walking cart.( used stairs).

The tee box at hole #7 & #8 of Stonehouse were so ugly. It’s just basically sand. Needless to say, they need maintenance. A couple of tee boxes at Oaks course needs some love as well. Also, food/drink carts were not present during the hottest time of the day. But overall the course is in good shape compare to other courses in Temecula.

Everything was great except for the awful experience with the GPS in their carts. The first cart they gave me provided lots of data about the course, but nothing about the holes as I was playing them. When I inquired at the turn, I was told they had accidentally give me a Marshall’s cart. They gave me a replacement, but this one didn’t seem to know where it was most of the time (their carts are on a programed system to control where they go, speeds, etc.). It would stop-and-go constantly, and the alarm sounded off at times for no reason. On the 18th hole, after I’d been on the fairway for several minutes, it decided it shouldn’t be there and just stopped. I had to crawl in reverse to the cart path in order to continue. I was so frustrated that I didn’t even finish the hole. It would have been an enjoyable round if not for the squirrelly carts.

I booked through golfnow Hot Deals. Seemed to be a good deal until I called and found out what was once comped is now an extra $40 cart fee for two. SO a single person cart fee is $20 yet they wouldn't allow two carts at $40 for two people. So hot deal plus fees is higher then if booked straight through course. This course has now become greedy and has lost my future business. I cancelled my reservation upon hearing the added fees. Cross Creek is a better course and doesn't try and gouge customers.

$20/person for a cart fee is a bit outrageous and a large bucket of balls for $18 is more than TPC courses. If you’re walking and not hitting balls to warm up it may be worth it, but other than that you will pay to play an average maintained course.

First time playing here, challenging but fun course! Fairway and green were in good condition. Friendly staff! Beautiful view!

Pass by many times while driving on N-15 HWY, finally got a chance playing there. The fairway is good, the green is in nice condition, friendly staff. Will come back play again.

They should be ashamed with the course condition. Played here my whole life and I was shocked with the rough, bunkers, etc. They should be charging 40 dollars right now instead of 80. Won’t be back for awhile.

Play it, you will enjoy the friendly staff, nice tee boxes, greens and full fairways.
