Westridge Golf Club
About
Westridge Golf Club is a challenging layout designed by Robert Muir Graves, a familiar name in California golf. Graves has designed many of the state's most popular courses including Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel. At just under 6,450 yards, Westridge G.C. is seemingly short but what it lacks in length it makes up for with more than 60 sand bunkers strategically placed alongside the narrow fairways and sloping greens. There are also some holes that offer interesting risk-reward opportunities for adventurous big hitters. The elevation changes throughout provide difficult uphill and downhill shots that will depend almost entirely on proper club selection. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course finishes with a dramatic par 5 that plays downhill against the winds to a rolling fairway and then into a fiercely protected green.

WESTRIDGE Photo submitted by dmzssibal on 04/29/2014
Great Morning
Met my friend Andre, 6:10am for a 6:52 tee time. The staff were all wide awake, smiling and very helpful and friendly. The course was really fun and challenging. The course is mountainous with continuous change to the views and types of shots you’ll need to pull out of your bag of tricks! The pace of play today was really good.
We will definitely be back!! Thanks Westridge Golf
Slowest pace of play
People trained the kids in the course, they played so many stroke in each hole, and we have to wait 5 minutes for each hole hanging out on the teebox and fairways.
BTW, the sun will affect you hit the ball and find out your balls. There are so many holes with cart path only.
Needs some serious work
Course could use some serious TLC. Definitely not the same as when I used to play it in the early 2000s.
Course in bad shape
I played this course several times within the last five years and yesterday’s experience was not what I was expecting after having played it beforehand. The fairways had many dried patches and the greens were not great either. The holes with water were low or dried and not well maintained. I was used to seeing it in much better shape than what it is today. Overall it was a good value but definitely I had to lower my expectations.
Course
Good layout. Decent pace of play. Could use a Marshall.
Utter disappointment
Currently 3 hours into the round and about to tee off on hole 10. Pace of play has been horrendous. No sand in the bunkers yet nothing but dirt on the fairways. Side note our cart died going into hole 6. overall I’d give this place a 1/10. Definitely not worth my money or time. Safe to say I will not be back
Has potential, but no
This course has potential to be a great challenging course. Driving in, you feel like you're at a nice course, but that feeling quickly changes once you see the tee boxes, fairways and greens. Terrible conditions. Nothing to reseed with, no one repairs divots. All the tee times are on 4 minute interval so the pace is slow. I really hope it turns around because it can be a great course to challenge your game.
Westridge has gone downhill
usually this course is in decent shape but lately it’s been real bad. Fairways have no grass. Greens are so brown patchy and will not deliver a true roll. On the 2nd hole the starter comes to us and say we didn’t pay. Asks for the receipt but the guy who gave us the cart keys took them. The guys working here are high on drugs they are so confused. The next hole the Marshall comes to us and say we didn’t pay and explains we pay in the pro shop. I pulled out my phone and show the charges on my credit card but still doesn’t believe me. We later find out it was the group ahead of us. Constantly bothered and blamed for not paying when we did. The Marshall needs to get his act together. Doesn’t know what he’s doing.
Great Course
Course grounds need to be maintained better especially greens! Always a good time.
