Horrendous Greens
Every green had major areas of dead grass, holes and large dirt spits. Super difficult to putt. I’d wait before going back. Maybe they will recover.
greens still need help
I still enjoy the course, but the greens still haven't recovered. Fairways are in good shape. All the employees in the clubhouse are pleasant to deal with and willing to help. The outside people are friendly and ready to help. I will be back.
Glen Lakes course conditions
I was a Member in 2024, at Glen Lakes. Glen lakes Greens are the worst I’ve ever seen, no Grass on the Greens. My understanding from Glen Lakes news letter indicates they had a Winter grass kill on their Greens.
* Glen Lakes is getting bad press from many of our local Golfers.
* I will not be joining Glen Lakes in 2025. I hope their greens recover.
Great if you like to putt on mud
The course is not worth the greens fee. Management should reduce the fees to reflect the horrible condition of the greens. Mostly bare ground with inconsistent areas of a bit of grass. Imagine attempting to read a washboard.
Will not return.
4/28/2025
The greens are in very bad shape. The starter says it’s because of some snow and freezing weather they had in January but I’m not sure that’s right. You are putting through about 65% dirt with sand mixed in.
Major issue with greens
Apparently glenlake suffered fron fungus last fall. Since then the green have gotten worst. Barely any grass on greens, and very bumpy. Not worth playing until fixed. I know they are working to decide next steps but probably need to go to temporary greens. Too bad. Hope they can fix by fall.
Greens
The greens are in very poor condition. Will not play here again until they have improved.
Greens?
The course was in generally good condition, but it appeared very dry. However, the greens are in terrible shape. Think of the worse greens you’ve ever played, these are worse! I don’t know if they’re trying to kill off the grass to replace it or what, but they’re bad.
Poor Greens
The course was in decent shape with the exception of the greens. The greens had little to no grass on them. Very bumpy and bare. Not a great value for price.
Terrible Greens
The greens are the worse I have ever seen. No grass, and ridiculous.
Pace of play was fine mainly because not many people playing probably due to condition of greens.
Price should be reduced and they should let you know about the greens.
Greens have problems
The rating is based on the course conditions because I came to play golf. The greens barely had grass - I understand they are working on this, so hopefully they will resolve soon.
Greens need some work
The course is a great layout and fun to play. However the putting greens have some serious work needed. They have some sort of disease that needs to be taken care of. There are several holes where there is very little grass. You are putting on compacted dirt. If it weren’t for the greens this could be one of the best courses in the area.
