Wet and Rough
Stretches of heavy rain in March/April have no doubt impacted the course’s condition, but after playing here a time or two every spring over the past 20 years, I have to conclude that very poor greens and patchy fairways are the rule rather than the exception at Glen Lakes.
Greens sucked, everything else was good
The greens on the Dunes & Vista courses were in absolutely terrible condition. It's one thing if they recently sanded & punched, but this was way beyond that. Many of the greens didn't even have grass, only hard packed dirt/sand. I overshot a hole by a couple of feet on a back pin, and the ball rolled like 30 feet all the way down to the front of the green, all on hard dirt. It's too bad, because we liked the rest of the course.
No grass on the greens
Honestly, allowing people to make a tee time and pay to play without notifying customers there is no grass on the greens is unconscionable. This is not an exaggeration there is no grass on the greens. It’s just sand and mud.
No grass
These are the worse greens I have ever seen.
Putting on dirt, the course is not worth the money they charge.
Terrible Greens
Worse greens I have ever seen.
Save your money.
OK Course
I like playing Glenlakes. Love the layout. However, the greens were terrible and pace of play was awful. We were backed up at least 3 groups and never saw a ranger on the course. In addition, I got charged a "convenience fee of $2.98 (maybe for not paying cash?), anyway it wasn't much but a 6% charge??? Also, no beverage cart on course. C'mon, man!!!!!!
Used to be a great course
Sadly, this is not a good review of GlenLakes golf course. It used to be a wonderful course when they took care of it, but that seems to have taken the attack of going for all the money and the quality is gone away we’ve played this course an awful lot because of the convenience from where I live, I’m gonna have to travel because I’m not going to play much here anymore. I hope management can work it out in time. They allow way too much pressure on this course to keep it up anyway. They need to spend time trying to make it better. Hope it works out for them. I but it’ll be a while before I go back
