Since the remodeling has been done, I really enjoy this course. It's difficult but not ridiculous. I will return many times

Rough was tall and thick and easy to lose ball.
Strange course maintenance - green sand repair in ball marks only around the hole location. Greens were generally large and in good condition. Hole should have been located away from repaired areas...Some rough areas had excessive mowed grass piles - again very easy to lose ball.

When we arrived the staff was very friendly and seemed glad to help us out. The course was well maintained and greens were in very good shape. Markings on the road between the holes could have been marked a little better to show where to go.

I like this course. I take my wife oftern because it is not too long for he to play. But several times they have scheduled tournaments which really packed the course. Last time they had to insert two groups in front of us at the turn. It was already slow and this made it unbearable. We took a rain check. They need to spread out thier tee times.

First time playing this course, and was pleasantly surprised. Several challenging holes with large elevation changes made the course very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone.

Layout is s bit funky - cuts through a neighborhood - must cross and drive cart on roads throughout. I would not want to walk it. 5 tee box options which is rare. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were very nice.

Overall I had a great experience, it was our first time on this course and will play it again. Some holes were extremely challenging and others were fairly easy. I played the first 9 much better than the back nine. A lot of holes require precision off the tee due the proximity of houses along many fairways. Greens were in great condition.

Definitely wont return. Very crowded with slow play. The layout is not very interesting but convoluted. cart paths take you through the neighborhood and they are so poorly marked we missed our turnoff to the next hole several times. Yardages not very accurate and no yardage on sprinkler heads.
Greens were soft enough to hold your irons but on the slow side.
Grass on tee boxes was rather high.
Sand traps are poorly maintained but it is soft whit powdery sand.
Will not return and don't recommend unless serious upgrades/renovations are made.

A reasonable challenge from the blue tees, and fairly easy from the whites. The greens are in good shape with some repair work obvious on five. I have played there several times this year (2013) and have been impressed with the strides being made to make it a beautiful course once again.

Great golf now price. Tee off at 4:30 for 21 dollars. Nobody on the course. Great layout. Green are very nice and maintained. Fairways could use some work with weeds in them a bit. Overall very nice.

This was my first time playing this course, the only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 was the fairways needed some attention and you dont go by the club house to get to hole 10. Makes it a little less convient to stop for a snack, drink or restroom break. Speaking of restrooms, none on the course except in proshop, Greens are big an beautiful, biggest I have ever played on. Course has a few challenging holes due to water hazzards......all in all, great fun and well worth the cost....I will return to play again.

Well kept course. Greens are in wonderful shape. Only bad thing was that Marshall was slow to correct slow play by groups.

They have done a great job at improving this course. New ownership has done splended at improving the greens and fairways. The rough still needs work, but you cannot ask for a better course for the price you pay.

This course has been under new management for the past year and it is really getting better. The greens were in excellent shape and the fairways are starting to look good too.

Most of the holes are very fair and challenging while a couple are of above my expertice.

I've always loved Royal Oaks. It's kept in great shape, and you can't beat it for the price. Some of the best views around. Plenty of character with elevation changes, doglegs, sand and water, yet not so difficult that you can't score.

I was pleasantly surprised with the actual course. The club house is a little run down which made me a little weary of the course. However, the course was well kept.
