Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course
About
Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …
"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."
At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Very Good Course
Very impressed by the staff, very warm, friendly and helpful. That would be reason enough to return. Course offers scenic views of the mountains. The course itself was in overall very good condition. Tee boxes (except for 1 of them) were great, fairways in great condition and the greens good to very good. Issue on greens was that there were many unrepaired pitch marks. The greens still rolled true however. They also have a par 55 par short course which is also fantastic. Overall, I can't wait to return to the area to play both courses again!
nice course
Played this course in early march. Driving range was in good shape as was the course. Greens rolled pretty well and the fairways were in good shape. Would play this again' in a heartbeat
staff were friendly as was the starter.
had zero complaints
Average
Course was in good condition but surroundings are not great. Finishing two holes were cool but other than that every hole is the same and straight away. Greens were quite slow but looked decent. Pace of play was solid never ended up waiting but there is times where it is hard to tell where you are going. There is rarely directions. For money it’s not bad but I paid about 100 for morning round and would choose somewhere else more often than not. Average.
Fair Experience
Our first time golfing at this course. The fairways and greens were pretty dry but not sure if that's typical for the area.
Give it a try
Course is in excellent condition, however, the bunkers had not been raked on this date. The pace of play was great. Would definitely recommend.
Range
For the money paying big dollars for range balls is brutal. Also no rel water stations around the course is poor.
It was very hot and the water station on 9 was out of water. It would be nice to have better restroom facilities along the way.
The holes are quite similar.
Fantastic time
My husband and I played in the late afternoon 320 pm. We never caught up to the people in front and the people behind us never caught up to us. We were able to finish all 18 holes. The "rough" was equivalent to the fairways at my home course. The fairways and greens were in great shape. Such as a great bargain for this course. I did not expect it to be so nice.
Bathrooms were porta potties and they were disgusting. The ones that my group used had no hand sanitizer and it was needed. Also wheni paid
I paid for range ball the pro shop didn’t tell me where to get the balls. But the starter did. Golfed there 3 times now and that will be the last
Very fun course!
Really enjoyed this design. Great mixture of short and long holes, wide and challenging but not punishing. Good shots are highly rewarded. Greens were sticking, and rolled true, even though I couldn’t sink anything outside 8ft.. This course allows steady driver use, fun approach yardages, and a mixture of easy and challenging par 3’s. Staff were friendly and accommodating, setting a relaxing vibe for a beautiful morning round. Definitely consider this track when you’re in the area. Great value for the experience. We played the Boulder course, but we will certainly return to play Pebble.
Vacation Golf
The course is in a great central location and at a good price
Check in was easy
No starter found at our first hole
No beverage cart during our time of play despite making a call to the pro shop
At the end of the round, the course looked like it was closed
One cart return person working
Despite these small disappointments the
Course was in good shape and we had fun!
Nice conditions and staff....
setting for the course back and forth along a wash is not the most inspiring setting. High winds create environmental and playing challenges.
