Cimarron's Boulder course is desert in location, but almost links in feel. It's hard to imagine even the most beer-cart-fueled hacker thinking they're in Scotland. Considering the bright sun, the striking San Jacinto Mountains and all. But …

"We've had many golfers tell us it reminds them of the British Open," head pro Jason Janke said. "For what we have in the desert, this is probably the closest course to that."

At 6,782 yards from the back tees, Cimarron challenges with length and accuracy. It's wise to keep your ball in the fairway here or you'll get some up-close desert views. Still with three par 4s over 450 yards and two par 5s over 560 yards, bombing away with your driver is anything but completely ignored.

Nice track

Played right at end of season. Greens were smooth and true. Fairways had good grass that was transitioning to burmuda. Lot of waste area, course is within water relief area.

Water pls.

Staff were great. Greens not so much. Patchy greens. Ran fast. Kinda weird different colour grass. Didn’t look healthy. Maybe the time of year. 🤷🏼‍♂️. Fairways patchy as well. Overall, the way you need to look at it……you are golfing and you won’t destroy your clubs at this course. You do still get some turf with a good strike. No broken wrists YET. 😂. Sorry, but what they charge regular price for a round is not worth it. All said, I would play it again. No nonsense golf. Fun, no pressure, no A holes pushing you. No hoity toity snot nose and that bodes well w me.

Golf in Paradise Palm Springs

Pro shop staff allowed us to tee off early to help beat the heat Many thanks to them!!! Staff was excellent!

Multiple tees, so easy to choose the appropriate ones for your game skill and style. Scorecard identifies them all.

Tees and fairways were in great shape.

All bunkers had good sand. Greens didn’t look it but they rolled smooth and true. I guess 10 1/2. Stimpmeter. Vert enjoyable course to play with great visuals.

This is a very well maintained course. It was a slow day and was able to play in 3 hours. I will definitely come back.

Cimarron Boulder Course

I had enjoyable day of golf playing this course for the first time. Upon arrival received a friendly welcome from the golf shop starter and the cart chief. The carts were in good condition and had built in GPS that displayed distance to the front, middle and back as well as distance to hazards.

Course has four sets of tees plus two combo sets of tees so the course can be played at 6 different total yardages. Very useful for selecting the tees that suit your golf game. Overall the course is pretty wide open. It’s pretty hard to lose a ball. There are plenty of bunkers to make tee shots and approach shots challenging.

Greens were fast but true.

There is a large driving range and huge putting green for practicing. There is a companion 18 hole short course that I did not get a chance to play but locals gave it high marks .

Quality & price are compatible.

This course is great for golfers that spray the ball. There aren't many hazards so you can let the big dog out on most holes. A challenge from the blues for any golfers.
