Golfer Reviews
Great Day
The weather was perfect, no slow downs .Will be back whenprice is right. Would like to see some repairs done to bathrooms at the 9 th hole.
Need more love
Nice layout but green got to be upgrade
Not grass into fairway
Good for what you pay
The layout was easy. I played Glades, their executive course, and it has definitely seen better days. There are no sand traps which, although making it easier, makes it unchallenging. I paid 25 bucks and I wouldn’t pay one dollar more. The tee boxes were in awful shape. The greens had rough spots and sand all over, but still they rolled decently. Good course for practice, but that’s about it. Their restaurant was good, the staff in the pro shop and the starter were extremely friendly and accommodating. This is a course that, with some effort from the owners and management, could become a go to for me. I enjoyed my time and, for the right price, would definitely play again.
glades course
due to the drought this course has suffered.
Championship course has taken all of managements attention.
Do not recommend playing here until weather conditions change and the course management spends some time and money to rejuvenate this course!
Day of golf is better than work
Greens not in good shape, but water holes are challenging
Good warmup
At par 64 the course is a good warmup. Fairways where typical Florida hardpan. Several greens had sandy repair spots. No sand or water came into play. The staff, clubhouse and restaurant where excellent.
Good course for the price
Course met my expectations for the price paid. Use it as a go-to if nothing else is available, or I don't feel like spending $100 on a round
Sand and dirt
If you want to enjoy a nice round, don't play here. If you're a beginner and just want to learn the game then play here. Tee boxes mostly dirt and sand. Greens sand everywhere.
In bad shape
Glades course is in terrible shape. Greens full of sand. Tee boxes all burnt out and bare. Used to be a nice course.
Appalling management, deteriorated conditoons
It is unbelievable how much this course has deteriorated since I last played about three years ago. They had redone the greens, now it is hard to tell the greens from the bunkers. The tease look like they’ve been plowed and there’s very little grass on the fairways. It’s a nice Executive course layout and too bad this crappy management company. That is still contracted with Tamarack after a decade of failure. To restore Colony West to any semblance of quality.
