Absolutely the worst golf course in Palm Springs
I had a late tee time at 1:30 pm, so I already expected not to finish. But, the slow play and terrible course conditions, made for a very long, long 11 holes in 4 hours!! The course is short, not championship at all, with a nice layout for the space, but the tee boxes were in bad shape with lots of patches of sod. The greens were also awful. They apparently punched them 5 weeks ago but they were still not rolling true at all.
I paid about $70 with a cart and it was still a terrible value for the poor conditions. Save your money, and your sanity, and play elsewhere!!
Great course!
We really enjoyed this course! We’ve played the other course on site before and liked the challenge of the water hazards on this one!
Great Day for golf
We enjoyed the round very much. There was just the two of us. We were able to finish in under 4 hours.
course condition
Course maintenance not as good as pre covid. Too many ball marks on greens. Increased prices not reflected in improved course. Too bad.
Course personnel are friendly and accommodating.
Mixed bag
great price. interesting course. greens mostly fine. Main problem--- fairways lacking enough grass/cushion. sometimes almost unplayable so we would move our ball so could have a little grass to hit off of.
Gorgeous course!
We golfed with friends and had a fantastic round. The course is in excellent shape. We had breakfast at the course and drinks from the drink cart. The drink cart came around at least three or four times during our 18 holes. Everything was excellent and I would definitely golf here again.
Disapponted
We play this course a lot over the years but never in November. Greens were bumpy and slow and fairways were very thin. Looks like they may have had trouble with the overseed.
On a positive note the layout is nice and views of mountains are very nice.
Hopefully it's better when we come back in March.
Great course!
We had a fun time and the Resort course was perfect for teaching my wife’s Boss how to
Play.
Disrupted Round and Poor Management Response
We recently played this course and were disappointed with our experience. During our round, PGA staff were taking measurements throughout the course and were constantly in our way. On the first hole, we were assured that we would barely notice them, but they were around us the entire time. When we raised this issue with the clubhouse, we were informed that no manager was available. We were promised a callback, but that never happened.
Poor greens
Greens were poor. Not grown in well and bumpy. Fairways were also poor. Needed more water to get the grass thicker. The ball often laid on the bare ground. Will not go back in these conditions
Speed of play of “wanna be” players.
Recommend - No “tournament practice rounds”allowed during public play times. Mixing regular single shot players with wanna be pros playing multiple shots per hole is a bad idea and should not be permitted. Club was sympathetic of this situation this week upon challenging them to refund. But the day was spoiled by selfish wanna be players. Understand if the course closes pre tournament for aspiring players. Just don’t surprise us regular players with such slow playing practices. Thanks.
