Just ok
No food and beverage should be made apparent when making tee time!! Greens are slow and bumpy!!! Nice course lay out just a little TLC!!!
Good Pace
Overall the Course is in good shape. The greens were a bit slower this week as opposed to last Saturday. Some tee boxes do need some work. Good practice putting, driving and chipping areas. I’ll be back
Great Golf Course - Starters Need Training
Course conditions are very good. Greens are rolling fast. But, the starter needs some training. I was sent out as a twosome behind a family of four, behind a single, behind a foursome, and two twosomes were behind us. Why would you not pair groups and send out a single in the middle of this mess? The round was painfully slow with backups with three groups waiting to tee off on the same hole.
This could be one of the best courses in area if it were not for mismanage of tee times.
Nice day of golf
The staff at this course is very friendly, especially Jeff the starter. Very welcoming, polite and efficient. There wasn’t any cart service the day I played. Good practice areas, putting, chipping and driving.
The fairways are in good condition and wide open. There are some damp areas but not a problem as they are roped off. I enjoy the layout of the golf course which offers some good challenges.
The greens are a slower than I prefer but playable. The back nine greens seems to be in better condition than the front ones.
The description of the golf course states that it’s a 27 hole course which it isn’t at this time. May want to update that information on Golf Advisor.
Beautiful day for golf
Our golf now reservation was not in the computer system at the golf course, but they were kind enough to fit us in. The course was extremely busy and pace of play suffered as a result. The restaurant/bar was not open, which limited our options for refreshments. Some greens were in very bad shape
Above average condition
I like the fact that this course always reflects the conscientious and responsible care that the staff uses to maintain the quality of this course.
Going down hill fast
I've played here many times in the past and it was a great value. However it is going down hill fast. The greens are terrible! Today they closed the bathroom so today at 6:15 when I tried to use the restroom it was locked and the staff told us to go to McDonald's to use the restroom. I was also suprised when the staff informed me upon arrival the restaurant was closed indefinitely it was run by a separate company who just up and left so we could not purchase food or beverages. After the treatment of the staff I would leave also. At the turn I just wanted a poweraid. I patienty waited at the pro shop for groups to check in because the reasturant is closed so she is selling drinks out of a cooler with ice in the back room of the pro shop and checking people in also. After waiting for a group to check in and she forgot to charge one of them so she had to call them back in to get payment. Then the phone rang and she ignores us answers it starts selling a golf package after taking a tee time I was there for ten minutes prior to the phone call. I was just trying to make the turn. Wow then she got an attitude when I asked to just pay for a drink. Please do your self a favor and play elsewhere!!! From a local St. Augustine beach resident.
The course is in great shape
Drove from Jacksonville to play this course for the first time. It was in great shape and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more affordable option than St. John’s golf and cc or south Hampton.
Slowest round in 13 yrs playing here
It apppears there was a new starter today-lacking training and orientation ...keep sending twosomes at noon timeWe finally skipped 2 other twosomes and played 2 more holes and got to 8 and we were the 3rd group on the tee box and went to 9.A group was putting there clubs in cart at 9th green and there was 3 other groups on 9...A new record experience for me....We went home having played 6 holes.......
Soaked Fairways
Fun layout and some very good par 3's. Course was extremely wet from recent rains. Greens were slow and spongy. I'd play again if I knew the course was dry, otherwise I'd look for another option. Staff was very efficient.
The worst conditions.
We've played here several times and this is the worst condition that it has ever been in.They must have had a lot of rain that we didn't get and we're just 20 minutes away.Greens were terrible and fairways were a mess.Maybe they're just waiting to rebuild it and letting it go.
Always An Enjoyable Experience
This is a nice course. Playable with enough challenges that require you to make a good shot. The course is short so your long irons or hybrids stay in your bag. But to score you need to put your drives in the middle of the fairway and hit the greens with you wedges. The staff are very friendly. Always an enjoyable experience.
Nice course
Nice course for an intermediate golfer. Beautiful water features.
We will be back again.
