St. Augustine Shores Golf Club

About
St. Augustine Shores Golf Club is a challenging public course that is conveniently located close to the city's historical district. Although it is relatively short at 5,659 yards, it is a demanding course. The golf course has open, narrow fairways that are lined with trees and water hazards come into play on half of the holes. Golfers may even catch a glimpse of the alligators that occasionally wander through the golf course. The layout features drivable par-4 holes and tricky par 5s that require a long iron in order to reach in two. In addition to the course, St. Augustine Shores Golf Club is also home to one of the only lighted driving ranges in the area.

Short course with a few challenges.
Greens were small and seldom had any sand traps protecting them. Greens were "fluffy" (not mowed) and some had sand / needed some TLC.
Fairways were mainly dormant grass. Probably gets into very good shape after the grass fills in by mid-spring. Would shoot better on next round after getting to know the nuances of some of the layout.
Overall not bad for the price.
Great course.
This course combines the elegancy great golf with a pace that is user-friendly with an evenly distributed length per hole. Great course!
Shores Golf course
This golf course is a quality golf course with very good greens fairways and tees. This golf course is short but it is a fun golf course to play and has neat holes on the front and back nine!
A well-loved local course
This course is a great value, very interesting layout, has its challenges - there are a few neat strategies for approaches here... like any course, needs to be played a few times to get the feel of it. It's my go-to course for everyday play. The guys really try hard to keep it in shape. The greens are generally true, the fairways get second attention ( it's the budget at work here - remember it is a great value, though) - although too many times, the players themselves fail to take care of the divots and ball marks. Still, you will have a good time!
For those who have never played here – don’t! This dump isn’t a real golf course. The owners and staff are rude and unfriendly. The course (poetic license) is shoe-horned in-between condos and homes with poorly designed holes and badly maintained fairways. As a matter of fact, the course is so deficient that it isn’t even rated by the Florida Golf association/USGA -- meaning that you can’t even post a handicap score if you play here. If you really want to play golf, avoid this landfill dump and go play putt-putt.
