Cimarrone Golf Club

Course condition is excellent and design and routing are superb. Greens are slow, but run through and this is done to protect grass from burning off.

At the price range, this is the best I've played in St. Johns County.

Course played great but rough was really deep. We lost 4 5$ balls that we couldn’t find within a few feet of the fairway? I’m sure it was thick/deep due to rainfall this month so I’ve got to due a better job with accuracy marking where the balls entered. My bad …

The course looks great, but the greens are slow, as always. The rough is also pretty high, so if you don’t land in the fairway, be ready to call the rescue team to help you find your ball!

I believe the price could be lower. Cimarrone is a good course, but I feel the current price is a high for what they offer. If we compare it with other golf courses in the area, some are charging less while offering additional amenities, such as ice machines where you can put ice in your cooler and keep your cooling towel and water bottle cold.

With the hot and humid Florida weather, those kinds of amenities make a big difference and would provide more value for the price.

That said, if you enjoy paying premium prices for an “okay” golf experience, Cimarrone might just be your happy place. I guess they have to make up for all the improvements they’ve made somehow!

Course in awesome condition...Greeted by very friendly cart staff and Cart Server very nice...Awesome day!

They put me with a man and his mother. She could hit maybe 100 . Most from 10 to 50. It was miserable.

Cimmarone was in good shape. The greens are full however hard and the grass is very grainy. All in all a fun day at the course.

Beautiful course with all the gentle hills, lakes and wildlife. We saw a deer and her 4 babies on one hole, egrets,hawks and other tropical birds amidst the gorgeous trees. Everyone we encountered was very nice, polite and upbeat. Best golf day ever.

Extremely slow greens. ProShop said it was running 5-6

While I have enjoyed this course once before the greens were not up to a standard worthy of any type of serious putting. Long, shaggy, inconsistent, slow greens… takes the edge and energy out of a round when a playing partner comments “ no 3 putts allowed today”… after stroking a 25 foot putt and coming up 10 feet short - for the second time in 3 holes - ( and he’s an excellent putter. A bit slow on a very hot day. Tried to grab a bite at the 19th hole but left after waiting at a high top table and could not get any recognition of sitting there for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. It wasn’t that crowded but still. Left and had some lunch at Poppy’s. The course layout is good but not a good value for the $60+ charged. Not a good value in present conditions

The greens at Cimarrone are notoriously slower than that of peer and neighboring courses. That’s fine. HOWEVER, to market and charge players $80 for a Sunday afternoon round when it’s 95 degrees outside, only for players to then show up and putt on greens that are not only punched, but cut no shorter than the fairway, is completely unacceptable. The greens were every bit of 3/4 of an inch to an inch tall yesterday. Making even a 5-foot breaking putt for birdie seem harder to read and to make than a Sunday at Augusta. I would have thought differently had their prices been commensurate with these conditions but $109 for a morning tee-time to putt on fairway length greens is completely absurd.

Just came at the wrong time, my fault I should have checked. Greens has recently been punched and there was excessive sand on them to the point they were almost unputtable.
