1st time
I really enjoyed playing this course and look forward to playing here again.
Friday Golf
Course in good condition, greens need to be rolled or cut.(Fuzzy)
Good for the money
Love the layout love the peaceful atmosphere out there! Just the greens are always slow. They were very inconsistent bumpy and fury. Otherwise it’s a great track.
nice day
was teamed up with nice people so that made a good day.
Greens are starting to slide
Always love the course...Slow was so slow with no Ranger available...Staff at turn were not concerned about the slow play....
Good experience
Staff were friendly, coarse was in great condition. Play was a little slow. Some waiting. Great price for public coarse. Will play again and recommend to others.
Very nice place
Everything comes together here . The staff , grounds , ( weather ) , the bar/ restaurant. They were smoking ribs on the deck, yummy ! A gr8 place to spend the day .
St.Johns Golf Club
Staff was excellent. They paired us with another couple who also had never played the course before. Great time
Best option in St. Augustine
Thank goodness Fairways are starting to grow-ahead of other north FLA courses
A Really Nice Public Course
What an enjoyable course. It was in excellent condition, the fairways were green and well taken care of. The greens were great, the green speed was consistent from green to green. The bunkers were also consistent and in good condition, if only players would learn to rake after their shot. The holes are nicely laid out although there are a couple of holes that are hard to find unless you have previously played there. It is a public course so it does get a lot of use. Play can be slow at times. Not a difficult course but does have some interesting & challenging holes. In addition the overall course was beautiful, lots of water & wild life. The staff was very friendly. Will certainly play there again soon.
Monday Golf
Weather perfect, greens in pretty good shape.Track overall enjoyable.
Downhill from last year STILL
I played there last year a LOT but this year for the third (and last) time. The greens are not nearly playable based on the course at same time last year. Love this layout and I don't know what happened but all I can say is right now the best thing about this course is the breakfast. Sorry.
Furry Greens
Everything was in excellent condition, except for my short game and the greens being a little too furry, making for slightly exaggeratedly slow putts, but I have no problem that they'll be faster the next time I play. As always, they take good care of the course.
Nice Course-Great Value
We originally scheduled one round here but enjoyed it so much we were able to return the following day with a 2:20 T-time for an amazing $22, and managed to get in all 18 holes when the course emptied after the front nine. We found a very nice layout with a variety of tees (we play at around 6000 yds). The course is owned by the county, and according to the locals we played with, they are trying to figure out what to do with it. Drainage is a challenge with recent rains. But that's really the only issue we encountered. Greens were in good shape, a lttle thin in a few places, but they rolled well at average speeds. There was plenty of room to find fairways off the tee and also plenty of course to challenge you if you want to back up a ways. The course is fun aand a great value. It was full both days we were here from early to late. For the price and layout, we can see why. We will definitley be back and would love to play it in dry conditions. If you need to get in some practice, the driving range is good size with a couple of chipping greens as well. The putting green is right behind#1.
Starter was struggling
Always enjoy the course and it was in good shape but not up to what we normally expect here with sanded greens and the thinner fairways like many in the area this year. The starter was struggling at best and running 20 minuets behind with our 8:10 teetime...We keep asking him how far are we behind and he refused to tell us...most of golfers don’t care-just tell us where we can go to the bathroom or sink some more practice putts...guy was acting so evasive we decided he was slipping his friends or members before us...just tell us what time we can expect to teeoff......it is not that hard...sorry maybe it was because he was just struggling...hope he got home alright...
good deal
price of last min. golf was to good to pass up. was going to stay home and watch tv.
It's a great course. It took 4-1/2 hours to play. It was very busy but pace of play was good considering the amount of people that were playing that day.
