Hammock Creek Golf Club
About
Hammock Creek Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus Legacy Design, is a fabulous daily fee layout on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Opened in July of 1996, the Club has hosted several local, state, and national competitions. Featuring five sets of tees from 5,045 to 7,131 yards, the golf course is a favorite for both locals and snowbirds alike. The practice facility offers one acre of celebration turf to satisfy the most ardent game improvement golfers. The centerpiece of the Hammock Creek community though is the clubhouse, which completed an extensive renovation in October of 2020. The restaurant, verandahs, and dining deck offers breakfast and lunch daily, with a variety of daily and weekly specials to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite.

Good course for the money and than some.
Good course for the money and than some. I have recommended to other golfers to play Hammock Creek.
Plenty of challenge, yet playable for the average golfer.
We all enjoyed the day, the staff and facility were very inviting. Play moved along as expected and we finished right at 4 hours. It is winter conditions, so green surfaces were not ideal a few patches were recently applied and havn't grown in yet.
long hitters will like this course.
overall this was a good experience. staff was very helpful. course was in good condition. pace of play was fast 4 hours. I would play here again.
I like the design of the course
I was a little disappointed in the overall condition of the course, I thought the greens were in much better shape last year. If they are going to be charging rates in the $50 to $65 range then I would expect the condition to be better.
Great greens, moderately wide fairways, well positioned sand traps.
I enjoyed playing the course very much, but had to pick later tee times to make the cost worth playing. I will play the course again when I have an afternoon free to play.
Enjoyable course
Course was in good conditon except for some of the greens. They had some spots where the grass was in very poor condition. We like the wide fairways unlike some of the public courses around here. Staff was very helpful and dispite the fact it was full we played in a little more than 4 hours.
Hammock creek
Sad with a good overall layout the greens are shaggy an roll like 6 or 7 and there was thin grass in fairways. Pace was slow. It was nice to get a discount but with a 1:52 t time and sun down at 6:15 there was no chance of finishing 17 holes! North Palm CC (also Nicklaus design) blows this away greens are perfect.
nice course, great value, nice staff, greens need some work
the course was a great value, very brisk pace of play enforced nicely. layout is fine with back nine being a lot more interesting. the greens were a little rough and grass was long for slow pace. they could be improved.bunkers, tees, fairwys were fine. had lunch which was excellent and reasonably priced and friendly wait staff. some things do need attention. there were no rest rooms available anywhere on course and there were no ball washers or trash cans on any tee. first and only ball washer. was on 18th tee.also, there were no water fountains or areas to get water. it was a cool day so it wasnt a factor but in the heat, this needs to be attended to.overall experience was excellent and course is in close proximity to highway for easy access.
Very nice layout, large but somewhat slow greens.
Course is in great shape. The forward tees are very friendly and avoid most long carries and water The back tees will give even a low handicapper all they can handle. Great practice area. This course really does monitor the pace of play.
Don't over estimate
Although this course challenges you to over think each shot, don't. There is plenty of space (away from the water) on most holes and more than 90% of every putt is less than 2 inches of break inside 15 ft. This makes for a relatively moderately challenging round of golf, but an enjoyable one as well.
course in good shape
nice layout and very well maintained, greens were true bunkers had sand
Beautiful and challeging
Beautiful Layout, challenging Approaches, good greens.
We enjoyed this course a lot.
Would play again
The rate I got from golfnow was very good, but I don't think the rack rate is worth it. the course was in good shape not to diffcult
smooth greens. nice fairways
Enjoyed the course, some greens well protected. Will play it again.
Fantastic, course, carts, view, driving range. Very professional
Fantastic, course, carts, view, driving range. Very professional
Good course, good time.
Challenging from the tips. Well maintained. The greens were a touch slow. Staff was friendly and accommodating, as were other golfers. All in all an excellent experience. I'll be back.
Fair course, perfect for first day golf trip.
Nobody behind us and Marshall keep pushing!!!! even if we played in 4h??? Well at least we can say Staff is very efficient....I mean really... tks for the day. I'll surely play back.
Good All Round Experience
I found the staff to be exceptional. From the bag drop crew, to the Pro Shop, driving range, starter, on course rangers and cart woman everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The course was in very nice condition and the layout was such that it was challenging yet fair. Also 2 for 1 beers at the 19th hole was a nice bonus.
great
greens were slow just needed cutting otherwise great
Friendly Service
Of the semi-private & public courses I play in the WPBeach and Stuart areas, this is by far the friendliest course. I don't usually stick around for the 19th hole activity, but at this course, it's great. The course conditions, carts, etc are great. The greens may sometimes play a little slow but it's usually because of having had rain where soft ground conditions dictate it unwise to cut the greens. Sometimes the course's pace of play is a bit slower in high season partly due to a busier course coupled with the inevitable leisure players in some group(s) who are not mindful of keeping pace or spend too much time looking for errant shots. It's not a problem for me, however, as I'd rather be waiting and watching rather than rushing home to awaiting honey-dos!! So, enjoy it. Hammock Creek is a nice course with friendly people.
