Hammock Creek Golf Club
About
Hammock Creek Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus Legacy Design, is a fabulous daily fee layout on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Opened in July of 1996, the Club has hosted several local, state, and national competitions. Featuring five sets of tees from 5,045 to 7,131 yards, the golf course is a favorite for both locals and snowbirds alike. The practice facility offers one acre of celebration turf to satisfy the most ardent game improvement golfers. The centerpiece of the Hammock Creek community though is the clubhouse, which completed an extensive renovation in October of 2020. The restaurant, verandahs, and dining deck offers breakfast and lunch daily, with a variety of daily and weekly specials to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite.

Nice course with new greens
My wife loves this course. She just enjoys playing there. The people are friendly and the warm up area is handy. The course has some challenging holes and a few easy ones. It makes for a nice day. The new grass is still growing in and this makes putting more of an adventure than normal. We look forward to returning when the greens have matured.
Great course
Wonderful and peaceful course. I drive from Boca just to have the opportunity to play this once a week.
Fun round of golf
Hammock Creek presents a good balance of generous fairways and greens with strategic golf. The front nine in particular requires you to consider where to place your tee shot to avoid water and have clear second shots to the green.
Disappointing Favorite
We are Snowbirds and this has been our favorite course in the Stuart area over the las two winter seasons. Couldn't wait to play it this year! We had received emails that they had redone the greens last summer and fall. We made a point of playing it as soon as we arrived back in Stuart in January. Very
disappointing. The new greens are furry and very slow. Hard to hit the ball far enough! Also quite pricey green fees in comparison.
ONE OF MY FAVORITES
I have played this course probably a dozen times in the past twenty-four months. I usually play as a single. The staff does a nice job pairing me up with other players The greens are coming back but they need some more time. However, the course is very playable. The pro shop staff, the cart guys and the bar staff are all very friendly. I have told many of many friends about this course. None of them have been disappointed. The practice chipping area does need some work. I really like this place!!
Nice course
Played this course twice on our recent trip.
Like the layout and course in good condition.
Not the fastest pace of play, but acceptable.
Like this course and would play again.
Great course
Hammock creek is a great place to spend a day on the links.
Great course after renovation
The first 2 weeks after renovation, the green is still in a bit rough shape. But after a few weeks, the green is completely made over. Smooth, quick and no bare spots. Nice job.
Great course in almost pristine condition
Greens were fabulous and course in almost pristine condition, great value for the money. Went off as a twosome at 9:20 did not see any golfers on front nine. A bit slower on back but got through on 4 hours with no problems. This place is like a well kept secret.
Overbooked and full of snowbirds
While the course itself is in good shape, it is overbooked and extremely slow play. Expect to trail behind groups of snowbirds who haven't played golf all year. I will come back when season is over!
It is not the course I played in 1995....
It is a very ample golf course with not many memorable holes. Demanding for its length, very playable from the Blue Tees.
I really do not like playing in courses where the rough is so high that you find two or three other balls before you find your ball.
It is in dire need of tender loving care.
Tees, greens and bunkers are in great shape. It’s the fairway that needs attention.
Hopefully it can be brought back to its former glory. I remember when I played it in 1995 it was completely manicured.
The fairways and rough are now barely acceptable, probably the result of having been closed during the summer to renovate the greens.
This is a beautiful course.
The rough needed to be cut shorter. Problem finding the ball.
New greens should have been in better condition
The slope for the course shouldn't be 137 it should be less. For the course being closed to replace the greens it should have been in better shape
This is a great golf course.
The layout is friendly, but challenging. The practice range, chipping area and putting green are great and the dollar friendly rate, comes with cart and GPS. The employees are courteous, respectful and seem happy to welcome you. Overall, Hammock Creek is one of the best golf courses around.
great Jack Nicklaus course for the money
Great Jack Nicklaus course long and open lots of bunkers...brand new tift dwarf greens. ..7200+ yards
First time at Hammock
I was very happy with this course. The tees and greens were in excellent condition and the fairways were in decent shape. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the pace of play was good. They had a ranger patrolling the course and the beer cart came around several times. All in all I had no complaints and will definitely come back.
Nice course but the fairways need some attention.
The new tiffeagle greens are nothing to brag about, virtually all 3 of us players felt that the golfball veered away at the hole and that the greens were very slow. If you don't strike the ball hard enough to hit the back of the cup then you'll have another try at sinking the ball.
Well designed as most Nicklaus courses are.
Was pleasantly surprised at course condition, layout and reasonable price through Golf Now. Above average rating is a modest comment. Not to difficult but gnarly rough and fairway bunkering will keep you focused. Newly renovated greens soon to be near perfect. Would recommend to everybody as a must play.
The course was in great shape.
The course was very nice. We'll maintained. Greens were fast and true. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I visit the area every year but first time playing this course. I will be making it a regular stop now.
