Not your typical SoCal course

The designer took his time with this course. The layout of many of the holes are something your not used too if you play many of the courses in the IE. There are rolling hills in the fairways, mountains all around that will push your putt off course, and plenty of tricky canyons to give any golfer a decent challenge. Highly recommend Eagle Glen to anybody wanting to test their skill!

5 hour day

Tee time was at 10 didn’t start until 10:30 because they were so backed up. I heard that they always do this and the rounds take 5 hours but I didn’t listen. Would not play here again.

Exciting Course

Eagle Glen is one of my favorite courses to play. I love the elevation and challenging shots needed to score. It’s a course where risk vs reward will leave you quite satisfied (or heartbroken if not careful). Not so difficult to have fun and demanding when you need to be challenged. Would like to see fairways in better condition, but pristine fairways are hard to come by in SoCal. Pricing is also pretty decent within off peak times.

Cronyism is alive and well here

Your tee time is not honored unless you have an in with the starter. A fivesome which was a combination of a twosome that miss their start time by an hour was paired with another twosome and for good measure a fifth that they all knew was thrown in at our start time.

We were pushed back and sent out as a twosome behind that fivesome..

when I questioned the starter instead of owning his incompetence. His response was it was “management’s decision’.

I am absolutely sure at that hour no management was aware of his decision.

I’m aware we don’t play there often and most likely the fivesome has a friendship with the starter. Had he taken responsibility and owned his deciding this review would not have been written I just would have never returned.

The high light of our day was the on site restaurant made the best “Arnold Palmer”.

Also if you think anyone would find this treatment unprofessional or unsatisfactory. You’d be mistaken upon bringing it to the attention of the only person that identified himself as a complaint taker his response was that’s too bad.

Six hour round on a Friday. No marshal in site. Great course but not worth coming back if this is their reputation.

Upscale course. Improving conditions.

I’ve always enjoyed playing Eagle Glen. Multiple tees for different levels. The layout is very scenic and fun to play. The greens were excellent. They were smooth and receptive. Played in the morning and greens were soft due to watering. Dry dirt patches around the course. Lots of watering of grass and sprinkler repairmen. Not the cheapest course, but you feel like you are playing an upscale resort. Employees were friendly.
