Cathedral Canyon Golf Club

This course is challenging. Fairways and putting greens were in great shape. Some areas off the fairway could use some cleaning up of debris. It was 90 degrees outside and ran out of water after nine holes. Stopped by clubhouse and no water outside in cooler. Guy behind counter was gone for lunch at 230 pm so couldn’t buy any water. Overall the starter is very friendly, course challenging and in good shape.

Let’s face it - golf in Palm Springs is expensive. If you are looking for an affordable round of golf on a challenging and well kept course - Cathedral Canyon is the answer. It is by far the most affordable round in the area and the course is in great shape with lovely staff. The course is still recovering from the hurricane is some places but it’s a fun to place to play!

Overall course conditions were adequate but it has the potential to be so much better with some TLC and water. For what I paid I paid I would play Tahquitz Resort course.

For a great winter course in Palm Springs, look no further. The greens are in perfect shape, and the fairways are clean and running fast. Many of the tee boxes are chewed up, maybe because they don't move them and repair them, especially the par 3s. But just move your tee to a clean spot and play away. Lots of water, and the bunkers basically have no sand so we played chip shots out of them versus a bunker shot. Hooked up with a twosome from Edmonton Alberta behind us, and had lots of ribbing about the Golden Knights and Oilers rivalry. A great time!

Great Value for the money! Starter was an awesome

Guy. Course has some very nice holes. Course was in good condition. Some holes are very spaced out so you need to just follow the signs. They had a hurricane that destroyed the 10th hole so they had to improvise and turn the 10th from a par 5 into a par 3. It’s easily noticeable when driving from hole 9 to hole 10. We played me + my wife in 3.5 hours at a 10:10 tee time and we were taking our time. Would definitely come back again. 10/10 experience for me today.

This course did not have the best reviews but I really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, the course was well kept, views were nice. The only issue i had was we got stuck behind a group of 8 which really made for a long game, and a lot of frustrated golfers. But I would definitely go back.

For the price excellent course greens rolling well lots of variety of shots to be played good conditions and great views would definitely recommend

The course continues to improve. The only problem is the bunkers. Most are hard packed and need to be worked on. Plenty of water hazards, so need to have good ball control. Worth playing for the price. Way better shape than more expensive courses in the area.

My wife and I play this course once or twice a year. The course was in good condition, with well groomed fairways. The price is right and the staff is uber friendly.

I would have rated it 5 stars, but the bunkers need work. The bunkers are hard packed with lots of grass in several of them. Played most of them as ground under repair. The rest of the course is in great shape. They have trimmed a lot of the trees back. Pace of play was good and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Worth playing if you are in the area.

If you're looking for an affordable course in the desert, this is your place. Course is in good condition and challenging. Plenty of hazards and water. Worth checking out.

I play here regularly and the course has improved a lot over the last few years. The only thing that needs immediate attention is the bunkers. Several hard parked or overgrown with weeds. The greens are in great shape and run true. People need to fix their ball marks, I fix between 4/5 on every green. The course is challenging with lots of water hazards. Worth playing if you are in the area.

Great challenging classic course with narrow fairways ,with water and sand traps to contend with. You'll find some friendly players and staff during your visit. Highly recommended.!

I’ve been playing this course for over 10 years now and a lot of stuff has changed.

Positives: friendly staff, fast running carts now with windshields, rolled out greens, lush fairways, flat layout balanced by tree lined fairways and plenty of water hazards, and great pace of play (less congestion of golfers).

Negatives: bunkers need actual sand, not dirt, some rough patches and bare spots throughout some sections, no ball washers (probably an easy fix), no marshalls or cart girls for snacks/drinks, and no range. However, they do have several putting and chipping greens. A lot of the negatives are only bc they need more play to warrant those services.

I do want this place to improve but i’m also torn bc i like it just the way it is. it’s a hidden gem with less golfers in general than surrounding courses and great value for the price this time of year. If you get a chance, check it out!

I don't think I've ever driven so much between certain holes. I will say there is very good and challenginging shots to be had on this course and the green run very nice

The staff is great!. The course was decent considering the rain it had gotten. Only negative was the sand traps that were like compacted clay.
