Course was in poor condition, some tee boxes had no grass at all. Greens were bumpy and had bare spots.
Ok for the price (twilight)
We played first day 90 degree angle at twilight rate. Got 18 holes in easily. Greens slow as they are everywhere at this time. We will be back for the rate we paid.
Poor condition
I wouldn’t have book this had I known the conditions were so bad. For many holes, it was like playing in the pasture. The greens were worst than fairways in many courses. I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone.
Nice course
The Course condition were not great but that’s more to do with the overseeding this time of year. Really nice Proshop staff. A bit of a drive between holes. Can challenge anyone’s game. Love it. Will go back next year.
Very Poor Shape
The course was in terrible condition. Greens were so rough your ball wouldn’t roll it bounced across the green. Over priced and would never go back or recommend it.
GREAT
GREENS WERE SEEDED. WILL PLAY AGAIN WHEN THEYRE IN PEAK CONDITION. SUPER FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF.
Goat Track
Course in terrible condition. Do not play this. Not representative of golf in Coachella Valley.
Avoid this dirt track
Last minute decision to golf so I was looking around for a course at around 11pm for the following day. So, with the great weather we were having in PS, it was slim pickens in finding a course that had available tee times on such short notice. I booked Cathedral Canyon because the nice courses I already knew about were around $200.00 per round, and I didn't want to pay that. I think this course was around $65.00. But like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This course was in horrible, horrible shape. Probably the worst course I've ever played at, and I play a lot. Pace of play was way too slow. I ended up leaving after the 12th hole due to the crappy condition of the course and the ridiculously slow pace of play. If you're looking for a round of golf, look elsewhere. This place sucks.
This course is in rough shape, lots of work needed. Had to stick to cart path so might as well have walked the course. Pace of play was slow, carts had to be back by a certain time so only got 13 holes done. Only plus was the couple we golfed with, pleasant company. Play a shorter course for the same price and have an enjoyable round. Don't waste your money here, over priced for what you get!
Very poor condition
This course was in extremely poor condition. It had some recent flooding and parts of the course were covered in sand/mud. The greens were unplayable as they were like putting on the fairway. Lady in pro shop was very honest and said the course was not in the best shape and gave us the chance to not play, but we had no where else to go. Just stating its current condition. Hopefully it will improve.
Goat Track - Watch Out
A true dumpster fire. Course was in very poor shape. Greens very bumpy and torn up. Slamming a putt when only 10 feet away. Not representative of Desert golf. Buyer beware.
DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE
We played cathedral canyon today as a four ball at a cost of 75 dollars each, the course is written up as being a championship course , it is absolutely rubbish, the tee boxes are virtually non existent , the fairway grass (where there is some) is long, the greens are probably the worst I have ever played on they are virtually unplayable , the course should put out a disclaimer letting potential players know the state of the course, this is not a course that any golfer would want to play, how they have the nerve to charge the fee’s they do is beyond comprehension.
Unacceptable
We last played this course three years ago. The course has obviously suffered some flood damage over those years. The washouts in some areas, the fairway grass pretty much nonexistent and the greens in such rough condition it was a joke, made this course very disappointing and not any where worth the money spent. We will not golf the course again.
