TPC Tampa Bay

Played the course twice during spring break 2022. First time to play a champions tour course. Got to see first hand how it is different from PGA tour courses and regular courses. Enjoyed both the rounds. Some difficult fairways to hit due to narrow windows from the tips. Skip the driver on those. It was Windy week. Appears to be normal theses days (windy conditions)?

Met my expectations for a TPC course. Definitely would play this course again.

Everything from start to finish was fantastic. Mark our starter geared us up for an amazing day! Madi on the beverage cart was incredible. Ended up coming in after the pro shop was closed but spoke to kitchen staff who was kind enough to find me a t shirt to bring home to my son. Can’t wait to come back and play after renovations. Thanks to everyone at TPC Tampa for an incredible experience. Until next time!

greens not fast enough for me but rolled true, some were top dressed which slowed them down

Nice layout not just grip n rip. You have to play smart. Ranger was not polite far from it.

5 hr round not sure i would return bad experience because of pace and the ranger. Pro was very apologetic afterwards. Shout out to the PXG rep who was too tired to show the new equipment. thats sarcasm by the way.

When you pay premium price of $240 (w/taxes) for a round, like you do here, you expect premium level service and treatment. This did not happen for us. From no one being at the bag drop when we arrived to the attitude we received when we asked for a new cart at the turn as our GPS was not working. We played the entire front 9 without it. Not a huge deal but when you pay as you do here...well..........anyway, when we renewed our request for a new cart the employee suggested we download the TPC app in lieu of a new cart "as it was more accurate anyway" When I insisted on a new cart with functioning GPS, he shrugged and said "ok, but it will be a few minutes as I need to clean one". It took a few minutes. When we got the tee box on 10, the group behind us was already there.

The clubhouse staff was courteous and professional.

Very good design but maintenance doesn’t match.

Unraked bunkers, unfilled divots and unfixed ball marks in great quantities detract greatly from the experience.

A $210 golf course should be in better shape.

Pace if play was fine and a ranger came by to let us know he sped up the laggards in front of us.

Suggest they empower rangers to chide players who don’t clean up after themselves. Maybe give ‘em one warning then throw em off course after 2nd offense.

Took quite a while to get service in the not so busy restaurant.

Course conditions and ‘hit and miss’ service suggest that management should be driving a higher quality level befitting the TPC brand and price tag.

Greens Top dressed some so slower than I like

Pace of play watching a 4some of Men that think they can play the blues EGO that probably cant even play the whites so you guessed it 5 hr round ranger no help said there was no issue. Plus Ranger should learn how to talk to clientele and not try to berate them.. That ruined the experience, and at 300$ hard to swallow.

The track itself though is nice, not really hard if you are playing where you should be playing. You cant drive 200yds dont play the tips oh and people dont wait for a green thats over 250 when you can only drive 200. Ok im done venting sorry. They are supposed to do a complete overhaul soon of the course so who knows they may see me again... maybe?

Had a 2:30 pn tee time, nothing else was available.

Because of slow play, we didn't get out until after 3.

Then pace of play continued to be so slow that we only got in 13 holes by 6:30.. We figured we wouldn't get all 18 in, but four hours for 12 holes is horrible.

So be warned if you're playing twilight, your round will be at least 5 hours,

Solid course expensive but worth the $$$

Last day of trip for us close to Airport

Restaurant closes too early shower option was nice we just got in before pro shop closed

Pace of play was brutal group ahead needed to play it forward
