TPC Tampa Bay can be as challenging as the golfer wants it to be. But be prepared to pay the price for taking the risks. Located just a 20-minute ride from the Tampa International Airport in Lutz, TPC Tampa Bay is open to the public seven days a week. A Bobby Weed design, TPC Tampa Bay is part of a network of courses owned and operated by PGA Tour Golf Course Properties. The fairways have subtle movement and weave through lakes and natural wetlands - 19 in all - and around strategic bunkers that number 81. The greens are large (averaging 6,400 square feet) and undulating, and most are open in the front, offering golfers the option of hitting run-up approach shots. There's a clubhouse and a fully stocked golf shop offering a complete line of equipment and apparel from the top names in golf to complement the course.

Great course for the price on TeeOff

The course was is good shape, stay in the fairway though. The greens were a little sandy but otherwise in great condition and fast. I would definitely recommend playing here. The pace was great. We teed off at 11:45 and were done by 3:45.

Overall Great Course......BUT

We enjoyed our round. Everything was great, well maintained. Layout was challenging yet playable.

One thing was off though. Whoever cut the holes that day needs more training. EVERY hole was severely damaged on one side if the cup. Either equipment malfunction or poor technique. Pure laziness to not make sure they were perfect. And yes, it did affect play.

If I had played this course at the normal rate, my overall rating would be about half. The fact that is was 95 degrees and the TWOSOME in front of us were so slow, we were only through #12 at 3 1/2 hours we ended up leaving after 14. They wouldn’t let anyone play through, they seemed to rush off the tee but from there on, they were shanking every other shot. It would have been nice if there was a ranger pushing pace of play. And no, they were waiting on anyone in front of them. We were a threesome and waiting on EVERY SHOT!

A great course at the lower price

Very nice course for the money. Friendly staff and challenging but fair course layout overall. Course plays around $100 to me, value below that, too much in my opinion over that.
