About
With its exciting and challenging layout, Lansbrook Golf Club has earned a reputation as one of Tampa Bay's finest daily-fee golf courses. The traditional 18-hole, par 72 Lane Marshall design has amenities and service at a level of excellence typically found only at private country clubs. While surrounded by Florida's lush scenery (which includes the occasional alligator) Lansbrook G.C. is conveniently located just minutes from all of Tampa's major attractions. The course was redesigned by Ron Garl to give it a more contemporary look. Water hazards on 16 holes make for interesting play.

Slow pace
Was disappointed with the pace of play. No Marshall out monitoring play. Had a group of men who did not follow rules and playing two and three balls of the tees. We could not finish our game as it turned dark.
Overbooked. 6 hour round
Course is extremely overbooked. 15 minutes of waiting on every hole. Marshall and starter are high school kids which is fine but there needs to be someone moving things along
12-20-2023 Round
Overall very nice experience. 1st time back in over 20 years. Staff very friendly and accommodating . The course for late December was in good condition. Greens were super hard and very fast. Small issue on back nine, there. was no marshal at the turn and a foursome got in front of us, and slowed the pace down a lot, had to wait on every tee box and fairway. Over all an enjoyable afternoon even though it was cold and a little windy.
Backed up!
Been playing here for a long time. Same as always, a little over priced, and ALWAYS overbooked. Stagger tee times a little further apart to make it a 4 hour round instead of a 5-6 hour round.
Slow
The waiting game over 5 hours to play slow every hole
Difficult to give this course a good rating lately due to the pace of play. Course is always in decent shape, the fairways are struggling at the moment but that’s due to the traffic and the greens always run fast/great shape. Been golfing at this course for 7+ years and used to be one of my favorites but it’s hard to enjoy it when every round you play is 5+ hours. Took over an hour to play 2 holes and had 7 groups (all with 4 players except one with 5) on the 2nd hole which is a standard par 5. Called the pro shop for them to tell me it’s busy out there today and are unable to speed anyone up. However the group of 5 was holding everyone up because there was an open hole ahead of them. Maybe your tee times should be spread out more than 4-7 minutes considering your main customer base isn’t professional golfers and they do not understand pace of play or golf etiquette. If you want to play a 5+ hour round of golf, this is the course for you.

3 Hour plus front nine
Experienced a really slow round with 3-4foursomes on each hole! Sent way too many out and no Marshall on the course that kept things moving!

Fairways need some work. Lots of bare areas and every lie is tight. Hardly any grass anywhere on fairways. Greens in real good shape.
Good Round
Signed in as a single, paired up with another single. By hole 10, we were a foursome. Greens were very good, fairways good given lack of rain and this is Florida golf. The new electric carts with gps and greens maps were a happy surprise. Will play again.
Fairways
Fairways are lacking grass and very slow pase 5 hrs. To play.

Super fast greens

Pn a winter day
Overcasted with a cold breeze, but the golf was pleasant to play with fast greens and tricky pin position
Misogyny ruins the day
Was having a great day, until we were approached on the 13th hole by the ranger and told that “your girlfriend needs to pick up her pace, and not search for found balls / and should pick up her putts” First of all, it is my wife. Secondly, we were waiting on each and every tee box for the group ahead of us to move on. We finished with a 3 hour and 10 minute round. Hardly slow…
My wife was the only woman on the course that we saw all day, she certainly wasn’t searching for found balls, (she used one ball the entire round) And very much understands the rules of pace of play. This totally ruined our experience. I just played a 3 some at another course today with 3 men, and it took us 4 hours to complete our round and we were considered on pace by the golf cart computer the entire day.

The recommendation here is that if you are sandwiching a 2some between two 4somes, before approaching and assuming the woman on the course is the one holding things up. You should take stock of the 4some ahead of us holding us up on every single tee box. It doesn’t take a seasoned ranger to drive another 200 yards and see the group ahead of us standing in the fairway.
I would advise you to also retrain your employees on creating a welcoming environment for all players, Regardless of their gender. In speaking with others in the community this seems to be a repeated / known issue with your golf club. And it’s a shame because it’s a nice facility.
