Horrendous conditions
This had to be the worse course I’ve ever played. I was extremely disappointed given the course had a decent rating. Course was not maintained, Crab grass everywhere, turf patches on the greens, and bunkers full of grass. I’ll never play here again.
Shame what’s happened
Don’t know what’s going on with this place it used to be a great public course you could count on for good conditions. Played the lakes and the very first green is half bare. The rough is insanely long and not a manicured long it’s just overgrown. I get that’s it’s been wet lately but everyone else seems to be able to keep up maintenance. For the price it’s not terrible if you can’t find anywhere else but if you’ve been here previously you should expect a decrease in quality that’s comes with that low price.
Tough conditions
It's nice to be able to jump online and book a same day tee-time, which you can do at The Eagles without a problem. You can make it around the course pretty quickly as well.
The course conditions are starting to deteriorate however. We've gotten some rain lately, but the fairways were in tough shape, and the rough doesn't look like it has been mowed at all lately.
Eagles 8/1/25
Course is in horrible conditions. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, bunkers had grass growing in it and the greens were terrible. Management and owners should be embarrassed about the condition of the course. Don’t waste your time playing there.
Gone down hill
It had been about 3 months since we last played the Lakes course at the Eagles. What a difference!! It was like playing The British Open, the grass being so high right off the fairways. We could not find balls that were 5-10 feet off the fairway. And over half the greens were eaten up and had little weeds in them that would change the roll of your ball. Another player said The Forest was better.
The golf course needs help
The golf course has gotten bad. It used to be a great course to play. We played the lakes and the greens are the worst that I’ve ever seen here. The rough was knee high so good luck finding your ball.
Ron L
The course was in poor conditional, it looks like they have no cut grass in weeks, fairways had little to no grass and the greens had big brown and black patches all over. I would never play there again.
Not Good
Greens had terrible. Literally bare spots on 15 out of 18 greens. Fairways were decent. Layout was not clear couldn’t tell where the course played. Rough hasn’t been cut in weeks. Looks like they have let this course go.
No pueden cobrar
Es una vergüenza que publiquen esta cancha , el estado es de abandono total. Tiramos la plata, de hecho nos fuimos en el 10
AVOID at all cost!!!!!!!!!!!
This course and the special we got on Golf Now was 45/pp, but we paid $60. The course is not worth 25 a person, there are little municipal courses that are in far better condition. The greens had dead spots with mud as did the fairways. The fairways had grass waist high.... THE FAIRWAYS??? If you missed the fairway even slightly the grass was soo long, I lost more balls than any course I've played. This was the worst maintained course I have ever played on! The clubhouse was old and ran down and they didn't have any on-course water...in FLORIDA in SUMMER. They have 2 courses that are both poor, maybe they should close one and focus all the efforts on one. The driving range was an additional fee and was basically a lake not a real range and the practice green was poor. I was so displeased I wanted to leave after 9 holes as I could not even focus or have any fun due to the poorly maintained course, but my friend wanted to finish. The fairways were not cut, not sure if they even own a mower... It was a waste of my time, gas and money. I wasn't expecting Disney or TPC level but couldn't imagine something that poor. I went in to complain about how bd it was and that they should tell people in the beginning how bad it is and give them the choice to play....but they'd be empty all day everyday!
THIS COURSE ABSOLUTELY BLOWS!!!!
AVOID at all cost!!!!!!!!!!!
We were supposed to play at $45 then were told it was $60, and they acted as if this was a great deal? The course was the WORST course I have ever played! From the 1st hole on this course was disappointing on every level. First, no water available at the cart barn or ANYWHERE on the course....in Florida...in the summer???????
Grass so high in the fairways...yes up to my waist in most places....in the fairways!!! The rough was just as long so finding even a slightly off shot was infuriating!!!! The greens were so bad with "cancer" spots everywhere and when you finally got to a decent looking green, they were worse than putting on shag carpet!
I can only play sparingly because of health issues and this was such a colossal waste of time and money. We went in to let the same staff know that they should know about how bad the course was and they should tell people but we were dismissed wholeheartedly!
AVOID THIS PAIR OF COURSES AT YOUR OWN PERIL!!!!
YOU WILL BE VERY UPSET IF YOU DON'T!!!
Greens in particular are struggling
The heat and drought have seriously impacted the greens on the Lakes course and the traps are dreadful. It appears they don’t even try to groom the traps. I played the Forrest course a few weeks ago. Those greens and the course overall were in much better condition although the traps, not so much. I hate to see this and I know they care but, the course is really suffering.
A few rough spots, but very good overall.
I have always enjoyed playing at the Eagles. I usually play the forest course, but play the lakes occasionally. The last couple of holes were pretty wet, and some of the greens are in rough shape, but not bad overall. The staff have always been very nice there.
